Alëxone related news, by Feral Things on Nov 12, 2015 21:54:11 GMT 1, Alëxone has a new book coming out later this month called 'Alëxone Company' which I'm pretty excited about as his 'Came à Yeux' book from a few years back is still one of my favourite art books. The hardback book which is co-authored by Frederic Felder aka Franky Baloney will cost 34€.
There's a book signing at the Fnac bookshop in le Forum des Halles on 6th December for anyone lucky enough to be in Paris.

Alëxone related news, by Feral Things on Dec 14, 2015 11:50:22 GMT 1, The book looks lovely - as does your dedication! Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I opened the cover and saw what was inside! The book is brilliant too; it gives a satirical account of a fictitious corporation and this concept is then used as a vehicle to present Alëxone’s work from over the last few years. Incredibly original concept and beautifully executed. The book is available from Le Shopaouane and there are some A/Ps from over the years and other nice bits and pieces on there too.

Alëxone related news, by rsj on Feb 23, 2016 20:37:48 GMT 1, Alexone has recently released a 42-colours screenprint entitled "Sang pure sang"!
This is not his first screenprint at all, but it is a screenprint that a lot more closely resembles his original paintings in my opinion. Very attractive indeed!
Edition of 50 / Price is 550 EURO (shipping included) Paper size: 112cm x 77cm / Image size: 75cm x 55cm Available at his own webshop: HERE

Alëxone related news, by Feral Things on Oct 13, 2016 19:28:25 GMT 1, Alëxone has a new body of work including paintings and a new sculpture in an exhibition in Paris called 'En Vie'. The show also includes new work by JonOne, Mr Jago, JR, Zepha, Sebastien Preschoux and Julien Colombier; I'll post up some photos of the show afterwards. The exhibition is at The Secret Gallery at 19, rue de Varenne and runs from 20 October to 23 October (coinciding with FIAC and the 8e Avenue urban art fair).

Alëxone related news, by Feral Things on Oct 24, 2016 17:29:44 GMT 1, Here's the first half of my photos of Alëxone's pieces from the 'En Vie' exhibition at the weekend. I've been to a lot of shows over the years but this was one of the very best. Alëxone's pieces were rich and textured, full of energy and rhythm and it was a genuine pleasure to be in their presence. The works are crammed with little details that were full of love, tranquility, fury and jubilation - it felt a bit like having life injecting into your blood stream. Really beautiful stuff!
Unfortunately, all my photos that I took of the other artists' work has inexplicably vanished, which is very frustrating because it wasn't just Alëxone's work which was exceptional. In the flesh, one of Mr Jago's canvases was the finest that I've seen in the 15 years I've been following his work. There was a massive piece by Jonone which appeared from a distance to be made up of his abstract tags but was actually made up of hundreds of the used felt nibs which he has used to create his canvases over the last few years. Plus large canvases by Zepha, a large installation by Sebastien Preschoux which sat in what used to be the chancel (the venue used to be a church) and works by old favourites like Mambo.

Alëxone related news, by Feral Things on Oct 24, 2016 19:16:25 GMT 1, As mentioned above, I've lost most of my photos of the other artists' works from the 'En Vie' show so most of these are from Emporium-S and you can see more of their photos here.
Mr Jago
Sebastien Preschoux
Julien Colombier
Jonone, Mambo, Supakitch and Zepha (unfortunately these photos from Audrey and Anatole's IG are about the only photos of these artists' pieces I can find online)
