Nelly is bursting with joy at our forth-coming release of Matt Small’s ‘Becky’, easily one of our most complex editions attempted to date. With this expertly hand pulled, 20 colour screen-print we are breaking another first. An edition of 50 artworks will be printed on super thin aluminium, whilst 95 artworks on classic, deckled Sommerset stock will also be available. Matt Small uses found objects sourced from the urban environment on which to base portraits of overlooked youngsters. Small re-invigorates discarded items, and people, once set aside by mainstream society, now reborn in his emotionally charged artworks, characterized by layers of coloured impasto oil paint & alive with surface texture.
