IT sold out instantly from what I remember and from that moment everyone seemed to hate it.

Dran • Price Crash, by anbesivam1 on Jun 22, 2014 20:43:52 GMT 1, Why I'd this image considered so weak? I can't see a dramatic difference between this and a lot of his other work. Personally I don't think the image is weak Dungle...it fits in with the darker side to his work.
Some reasons why IMO this instant sell out print hasn't faired so well (financially speaking) in this short period of time:
1) It is not a hand finished print, unlike Chalks, ILY, Art Thief, LTF Colour etc... so is less desirable.
2) Largest edition size to date
3) At release, a lot of speculators / flippers bought the print thinking it was a guaranteed profit. The print sold out instantly and ended up on eBay within moments...the fact that majority of people who managed to buy the print were flippers and they flooded the secondary market - supply and demand rules apply - and the price dropped!
4) Now that there have been sales below cost - the print as been 'burned' so to speak.
5) The subject matter is dark and the humour black - thus not so "wall friendly" in this era of 'sanitised' urban art collectors
6) Almost every artist has images which are less desirable and can be bought less than cost - this is Dran's for now
However, to genuine Dran fans, this remains a great image and print.

Dran • Price Crash, by Deleted on Nov 22, 2014 10:04:31 GMT 1, Hi,
I'm still on the hunt for something from Dran to join my walls. I'm NOT looking for Price Crash and Poulet-Dinosaure but I'll consider anything else. Exhibt, Le Char, Free Speech, etc..
Please send me a PM with what you have for sale + an asking price.
Cheers!
