Countryside Street Art and Graffiti - why not? , by Cornish Crayon on May 20, 2013 9:53:57 GMT 1, There is something magical and beautiful about finding a piece in such a remote location but it has to be finished and not be vandalism.

Sorry, I'm not really following what you mean about Photoshopping a piece. I'm guessing that MSK painted the piece directly on the side of the derelict barn and that the photographer (Datachump) has tweaked the levels in his photograph using Photoshop or something similar.
Apart from being somewhere in the British Isles I don't know exactly where it was painted, but I seem to recall it was painted on route to the All City Jam which took place in Dublin back in 2011.

This is Datachump's photo, rather than my own, but it is one of my favourites. This is by Aroe & it was just near Devil's Dyke outside Brighton. The council decided since that it would look better covered with black paint.
He asked me to point out, however, that it's not 'street art'!

Fair enough. Title of the thread changed. But, the thread was just meant to bring a smile to faces.

You'd need to be watching out for Farmer Barleymow and his 12 guage rather than constable plod and his barely-unholstered truncheon

They filmed a bunch of Dr Who episodes here, so you'll have to watch out for the Cybermen and the Daleks!
Here's a few other pieces I've spotted over the years. You can see this piece on the hill to your right as you drive down the M32 towards Bristol.
This Sickboy temple is in a railway tunnel out in some beautiful woodland.
And this is a little bit of a much larger wall which I painted a couple of years back. It was the most serene spot I've ever painted in; the only sounds I could here were birds singing and the wind in the trees all around me. Good times.

Will I need to hire a tractor or are all your pics of easy-to-find-for-a-townie places ? I'll be in Bristol for Upfest and then going into Wales after so I'd like to go out in the sticks around Bristol to take a few fotos myself. Can you please PM me some locations if possible ? Would be much appreciated

I'll be the one sat on a bench somewhere rubbing my aching limbs from all this bloody walking round towns finding scores of freshly painted walls. Bristol will be the 3rd town in 4 weekends, after Chichester and Dulwich
What a great start to the summer though. I'll stand you a pint if I find you Sean

Countryside Street Art and Graffiti - why not? , by shaunq on May 23, 2013 20:23:50 GMT 1, one I've never seen, but like a lot ... Cambridgeshire I believe
I've been there kashi !! Went to deepest darkest Norfolk in February and was devoid of graff and street art for about 5 days running so I got cold turkey ( no bernard matthews pun intended)
I stopped to foto this on a main road somewhere while I was driving back south to London but can't remember where it was cos it was a long drive doing the scenic route and my brain withered ? But it sent warm blood rushin' back thru my body as soon as I saw it
The countryside's where it's at really. Much more subterfuge and sneaking about seen as there's no 'legal walls' so it's nice to see paint where you really wouldn't expect it (and after not seeing any for 5 days!!)
Respect to Coach for starting this thread. Makes a very welcome change to walls & windows. Keep posting pics please people........
