SOLD, by Deleted on May 23, 2013 10:46:46 GMT 1, I'm going to go against the grain and say that I see no problem with what the seller is doing here. Yes it's massively overpriced but if someone buys it for that then it's all worked out nicely for the seller.
Something is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. I wouldn't pay this kind of money for this (especially with the damage) but I wouldn't criticise the seller for trying to make a big profit either.
I think this will struggle to sell but who knows maybe someone who desperately wants this print and has money burning a hole in their pocket will go for it.

No PayPal was used; straight cash + trade deal in person. He is from Butler, PA, his name is Jeff T., and we met half-way in between Cleveland and Pittsburgh in Warren, OH for the deal to be made this morning.
You want his number to call him yourself, bud? Or better yet, give me your number and I will have him call you?
Why would I lie about this? I am not a liar, a cheater, or an unethical person. I am done getting trolled by you sweet-cheeked members. Some of you cease to amaze me; peace out. Have a good rest of your night!

SOLD, by slipry on May 24, 2013 23:12:54 GMT 1, Well done mate and you had a fun time while you did it....
Thanks quinnster; I had a blast ! Good times here at UAA; don't know if you will ever see me again, and I know you will miss me.
At least AFR1CA (hater1000), circa77, ambroisabaptism, cerebus and a few others had completely successful transactions with me here over the past 4 days. Ask them how quickly I paid and how flawless my communication was with them.
I spent over $6,000.00 on BAST works here, and I guess we will take our dollars somewhere else.
C'est la vie, my friends!

SOLD, by minibear on May 25, 2013 0:32:06 GMT 1, Wow, did you read my post at all. Your asking much more than ever pubically posted for a print with damage. what am i missing. When i said "man u got somethn started" that was obviously in regards to the above coments. and it seems the general tone of the community is that it is high and you keep coming back for more. Dont blow a seal buddy. How does one 'pubically' post on this board. Is it a permissions thing?

Duly noted; my bad.
However, the offer still stands if any member would like to chat with the proud new owner of the Teddy Riot. I gave him a head's up to expect a call maybe tonight or tomorrow.

Well, consider us "weeded out" then chaserawr; though you just lost two extremely knowledgeable and solid contributors, collectors, patrons, sellers, and buyers.
My wife and I have never come across such a hard-hitting board like ya'll have here. It is funny that members out here won't bat an eye on dropping $10k-$14k, or whatever ridiculous figure is "working" on a given particular week, on a Banksy NOLA (as an example), but $3400 was too much to ask for an iconic DOLK piece that hundreds of collectors are searching for world-wide? It took us less than 3 days to find a grateful buyer, all the meanwhile ya'll whined about it and gave us sh*t when we were just trying to help somebody out while helping fund our own (heavy) BAST purchase run?
Who makes up these rules that UAA goes by, and can we get a copy of the code of conduct sent to us so we can reference it?
Anyway, enough with the banter, we are done; for real this time. Best of luck to you all on securing whatever dream you are chasing. Seriously; wish you all nothing but the best!
Love, Stephen & Tiffany

SOLD, by Deleted on May 25, 2013 18:27:49 GMT 1, I don't really see the problem , he can put it on for what he wants and nobody has to buy it.
Why would nobody bat an eyelid if this was a Banksy but if its a Dolk it's unacceptable? Who says what prices are ok for one but not the other?
This was way above the market value and it was a bit cheeky but its his print to do what he likes.

Thats a shame that you feel I have offended you in anyway, business is business. Often new "contributing" members will sell "iconic" prints on the forum for inflated prices that dont match current market value, only to go SOLD in a short time. While there is no transaction taking place this will artifically inflate the price of said work. Ultimately this forum drives the cost for alot of things I want, including a Teddy Riot.
No hard feelings, and welcome

Love, Stephen & Tiffany Thats a shame that you feel I have offended you in anyway, business is business.
I thought you meant us chaserawr when you stated that thing about "weeding out the undesirables." If that was not meant for us, we extend our apologies.
As far as inflating a price on a certain piece of art; that is not even in the equation when it comes to our personal actions. My wife and I don't believe in that, and are firm believers that the invisible hand that governs the "market" does a good enough job keeping everything in check. We brought the piece here because this is an "Urban Art Community." Go figure; it made sense to us ...
We don't need any help inflating the pricing of the stable of artists in which we support; they do pretty well on their own with the help of Sotheby's, Christie's, and their respective millionaire patrons. We are talking about a $3k DOLK print here, not a Warhol.
All I can say is that the sale was legitimate, and we have never manipulated any micro-marketplace, let alone one that is as insignificant in the eyes of most of the elite art world, like our little urban art corner here at UAA.
We have no hard-feelings; we are starting to like it round these parts : ) hanging out with ya'll !
Well, consider us "weeded out" then chaserawr; though you just lost two extremely knowledgeable and solid contributors, collectors, patrons, sellers, and buyers.
