rolex and discount is 'tricky', to say the least.
I gave my wife a Rolex from her birthyear - the case numbers indicate the year the watch was made.Try chrono24.com where you can filter by year, that should give you an indication on prices. Other option is to consult one of the plenty vintage watch dealers in London. Good luck.

What else do you collect?, by Trevorm on Apr 17, 2014 13:57:14 GMT 1, Thanks kfroms
I'll get on the case and have a trawl round Hatton Garden next week perhaps.
Having built up a, to me, decent sort of collection of some urban art I've had to invest in a Burglar alarm (Mrs M insisted) + an all singing and dancing insurance policy in case it all gets 'knocked off' or goes up in smoke.
Then there's the 427cu in AC Cobra (I wish)
Thanks kfroms

For more vintage watches there is Austin Kaye on the strand. There is a posh pawn brokers on Fleet Street and I am sure other places around.
Good luck

Mind you this bunch of Lo Life got most of it! Throw ya L's up! Their you tube vid's are well worth a look! Love & Loyalty!

I was too a teenage stamp collector ...... a fully fledged nerdette! I still have them literally thrown randomly into a frame and up on the wall, out of all the artwork I have whenever I have visitors they spend ages looking at them. The computers and insects sound interesting too.

What else do you collect?, by mojo on May 25, 2014 0:47:33 GMT 1, The Hermes bags I got I found in different charity shops..so I call itcollecting, been for this treasure hunt for years and years.. All my valuable things I have, I found in charity shop. Agreed I too am a charity shop fiend, I go treasure hunting at least once a week, I much prefer the variety in charity shops than the high street fodder and prefer to give my cash to them than corporates. I've even found artwork, I have some great Basquiat reproduction prints, found a proper real original of The Clash London Calling poster I even found a framed piece from Santa's Ghetto 2003 many years ago (I'm not gonna say who by cause it certainly shouldn't have been there - its now on my wall). Anyhow we are now giving away our shopping secrets .......... good luck in your quest for future treasure.

What else do you collect?, by snidleywhiplash on May 25, 2014 1:44:03 GMT 1, Got into the sports card industry at a young age and comic books. Both became dying industries because of mass production in the 90's when I was growing up and collecting for fun. The card industry has gotten a lot better in the past 10-15 years because now everything has a limited productions and #'d cards but everything has gotten super expensive for the very nice products where you can get some value and beautiful cards out of but you could be spending upwards of $400-$600 for one pack. I think that's crazy and ludicrous. So I got into the poster/art game instead. The days of a kid buying a pack of cards of any value is long gone.
