What else do you collect?, by Black Apple Art on May 25, 2014 8:27:40 GMT 1, Single Malt Whiskies (drink more than I "Collect") and Japanese swords. Also managed to keep one of every iphone version. Will be interesting if sealed iPhones from the past will have any value in the future. I would have to think they would but it will be interesting to see They actually are't sealed. When I get the new phones I just razor the bottom seal and slide the top off. Just keep them because of my love for apple products and nothing to do with value. Been using Apple since the 90's when everyone was constantly telling me blindly how PC was better with out ever using a mac. I had used both and saw right away the advantages of Mac. Only setbacks back then were price and software availability. Their reign was inevitable even though it took the ipod, and later iphone, to get it in the hands of people who would never have been exposed to Apple otherwise.

What else do you collect?, by Cornish Crayon on May 25, 2014 9:01:49 GMT 1, Used to be vinyl, but these days it's single malts here too, got a couple I'll hold to value after tip offs but the rest just gets slowly ......and I mean slowly necked, I've open bottles from 5yrs ago still tasting great.
Went though vintage skateboards, bmx and vintage kitsch household tat but that has all moved on over the years.
Edit: the wife has told me to add stickers apparently..... And art books, but I don't think these count

But the coolest by far are vintage decoy birds. That one look great. Bet they look really cool around the home.

Although I do own a fair few and keep them in a collectors cabinet so I am possibly in denial about this...

I'm not a collector of anything really - bit of an accumulator, I s'pose.
ski's (10 pairs) er! anybody need a pair? I'm sure I can dig them out of the garage, golf clubs (6 sets + about 30 putters), silk ties going back to the 60's and vintage RayBan and Persol sunglasses.

What else do you collect?, by Momo on May 25, 2014 12:40:23 GMT 1, I am starting to collect architecture books, partially for reference but I do really enjoy them. Never had a collection of anything as a child. This is a great book mate, it is huge!! We have one in the office but wouldn't mind my own copy. www.arcspace.com/bookcase/the-phaidon-atlas-of-contemporary-world-architecture/I have one swiss watch and can see how people get into it (i am trying not too!!)I love old modernist architecture, got out bidded on a nice house 2 years ago, i was gutted but the wife rightly stopped me. Will have my man cave finished soon in our new place,so along with art also looking to buy old modernist drawings and a nice old wine rack and get a collection going
Ah sweet hadn't come across this one, thanks man. Eileen Gray, Reitveld, murcutt and lewerentz my favourites at the moment.
When travelling, in a gallery in Kuala Lumpur I seen a hand drawn section by tadao ando. Was 6k BTW but unbelievable, completely blew me away.

Let's just say, Collectors are defined by how much they spend on monthly storage costs!
I honestly thought I had curbed my hoarding habits until I recently had to change my storage arrangements..

What else do you collect?, by Warm Gun on May 25, 2014 15:02:15 GMT 1, Sex dolls, I have about 50 of them, all different colours and sizes and textures. Some are easy wipe whilst others are so festooned in my love that you could snap them in half if you got too carried away. I had to bury three of the poor souls in my garden late one night. I spend as much time as I can with them. they're my only real friends.

Over the years I've accumulated "stuff". Old etchings, silver serviette rings, pots shaped like celery, 70s ceramic tiles with birds on them .. obviously not at the same time. That would be just weird
