-anything with a rat that is signed
-anything with a monkey that is signed
-gwb
-liita

barcode is beyond incredible, but not something that immediately says 'banksy' to those unfamiliar with the artist (despite the spray logo). so so awesome though. i think it's more a (rightful) favorite among banksy fans than the overall art world though, and that'll show later.

I'd hesitate to say "most" but there's plenty of tales around about rats pinned up with drawing pins or put up with sellotape.
On the other hand I've seen some mint stuff from back then that was bought by those with a bit of an idea that this all might take off, doubt anyone saw all this coming though.

i have a backdoor FC and it's in really great condition - maybe it's because it's on a nicer paper stock than some of the others?

From what I've heard, like 1/3 of the pre-2004 prints are destroyed, and a fair share have creases/damage/etc. People didn't know what they had - they'd staple them to walls, throw them away when they were tired of the image, etc.
Explains why you see so few of them up for sale (like when's the last time you saw a signed Pulp Fiction or HMV for sale?)
I guess Mary stays intact since it went unsold for a while, and probably got snatched up once people knew what they had.

I like the CYW. whats not to like about Banksy and Haring? and if it is the rarest of all prints, then why not try to get both right? If I can its all about the laugh now and the CYW Silver. I like that one better that the white. the silver version. the flake in the paint is fucking sick!!!!

I can definitely see some of the CYWs going down comparatively; the only reason people care now about certain colors is about edition size/rarity, but some of the colors are plain fugly IMO. Those are the ones I can see going down; the ones that are weird/bad colors but small edition sizes (orange/purple/khaki/slate). Sooner or later, people actually pay attention to how it looks. And they grey looks perfectly fine if you like the image; I'd almost say better than the orange/purple/khaki/slate.

I don't have one but every time I see one I realise how good it is. That said CYW definitely falls into the pop art category when you put a few of the bright colours together

Choose Your Weapon (silver flake or white edition ) or Laugh Now AP?, by Skippy on Sept 18, 2014 12:12:35 GMT 1, Yeah theres bound to be some bad memories, a chap I sold to told me he had a Barcode in a clip frame and his wife bought another print and wanted it put up so he took the BC out and laid it on the sofa, his wife let the dog in the back door and it run through to the living room and jumped up on the sofa, paw tore right through it, cost him ยฃ100 or so but it went straight into the bin. Thank fk it wasnt Gangsta Rat!
