Art Print Storage in Plan Chests, by aymar75 on Feb 6, 2021 14:20:25 GMT 1, I went there today. Very nice effective and cheap for the framing. I saw the drawers they are really nice but expensive. 2000€ including all the elements for 5 drawers. From my point of view you need and it was displayed like this so 4000€. The wood is beautiful.

I was the same when the link was originally posted. I wasn’t prepared to pay the extra.

I think you should probably remove the bar holding the prints down. Over time it could dent the paper. (Any expert opinions on this?)

Art Print Storage in Plan Chests, by genesis on Oct 17, 2021 4:16:29 GMT 1, Nicely done and put together! Does it get hit with direct sun thru the window? That would be the only other thing I'd worry about.
Wish I had the space for one, but current place space is limited.

It could get very hot in the summer and cook the prints

Art Print Storage in Plan Chests, by Richy Rich on Nov 25, 2021 10:23:31 GMT 1, I'm trying to get my head round the whole chest storage thing. Do people rotate what's in their chest and on the walls? Or do people just buy prints, stick them in the chests to never see the light of day and then flip them 2 years later?
Just seems a bit foreign to me. If I like something enough to buy it I stick it on the wall. I can understand why dealers would invest in them, but as an average collector I can't understand why I'd ever use one? Each to their own I guess.

Art Print Storage in Plan Chests, by Charlesworth on Nov 25, 2021 14:37:54 GMT 1, I have a plan chest and its one of the best things I've bought since I started collecting (excluding art)
I tend to use drawers for different purposes, one for odd bits for packing - tape, box knife, tissue paper etc another for stickers, COA's, books & receipts etc. one for flattening out prints freshly unrolled from a tube under glass weights. a couple for storing prints, mainly waiting to be framed.

I don't have a plan chest but thinking of getting one
