FAILE New Prints, by A.R.T. on Nov 18, 2014 22:40:45 GMT 1, Minimal? You must not follow what FAILE's prints are selling for.
Dude, check the resale value onย Faile's larger editions, it's minimal. Don't be a dolt comparing Faile and Banksy large edition prints. Ifย that were even possible then the resale values would be closer but they're not are they? They're miles and miles apart. Maybe they'd get closer if Faile just stopped but we all know that's not going to happen.

FAILE New Prints, by Poly Mindset on Nov 18, 2014 22:41:04 GMT 1, Investment wankers. (For the Americans on here) Don't stereotype people. Not all Americans on here are trying to make a buck off flipping art. I for one have 54 pieces in my collection and have sold maybe three and have even lost money, so to me it's not about the money, it truly is about the art and the intrinsic value and joy it gives me.

FAILE New Prints, by Happy Shopper on Nov 18, 2014 22:42:57 GMT 1, I didn't buy either but I'm fairly confident these will be some of there most popular large editions, along with Les Ballets de Faile.
Pretty classic Faile images and starting relatively cheap.
Let's not make this a thread about profit though.

FAILE New Prints, by Hairbland on Nov 19, 2014 16:07:01 GMT 1, The faileart account on instagram as 45,000 followers.... so, basically.. their drop is to try to find 300 people out of 45,000 that might be willing to pay the money.. as they have shown in the past.. They have the customers. and really 300 edition is not overly large. 300 people in the world have that image. ok. that's exclusive enough for me. congrats to whoever pulled the trigger on these. i have enjoyed faile's work for almost 8+ years and i think they are great to follow now and will be in the future. I have the first Les Ballet print, I think the run was 500, by lottery...and difficult to get. Submitted 3 email addresses, 1 got picked. Beautiful large print, more expensive to frame than the cost of print.
I never look at that print and think of the size of the run. It just looks awesome and gives me a good feeling.

FAILE New Prints, by Dellboyy on Nov 19, 2014 16:23:30 GMT 1, It's funny, i don't know how anyone can complain about how Faile handle their releases. They're one of the few artists to cover every possibility from large/expensive to small/cheap originals, and expensive hand finished low run print editions to low priced large run editions. As long as you enjoy the art, what's not to like?

Not for me
I did bag one once, got refunded but bombed with a paypal a refund and lost about ยฃ80 on exchange rate.
Faile were good guys and produced a print just for us poor unfortunates with our first world problems, which i then framed, and then sold or traded, (cant remember)

This was a no-brainer purchase for Faile collectors in my opinion!

FAILE New Prints, by RBK on Nov 19, 2014 18:38:04 GMT 1, I am copying and pasting a post I posted months ago:
I think FAILE should be highly commended on how much regard they have for their quite varied collector base over all the years. They literally have an entry point for any type of collector interested in their work. I've had conversations with the Patricks about this before and know it is personally very important to them.
Their recent (let's just say post POW representation) offerings, priced from low to high (I think I got them all - apologies if I missed any):
Unsigned Books Signed Books Hand-Printed Signed Books Block Set Small-sized editions of 150/250 Large-sized Paper Monster editions Large-sized editions Book Covers Small-sized, varied and small editioned Medium-sized, varied & small editioned Large-sized (25" x 38"), varied & small editioned Unique 1/1, small-sized works on paper Unique 1/1, medium-sized works on paper Unique 1/1, large-sized works on paper Traditional Boxes Puzzle Boxes Original Paintings - block, wood or canvas
If anyone can look at above and complain, I don't even know what to say.

FAILE New Prints, by spartan on Nov 20, 2014 17:30:56 GMT 1, There was at least 7-8 Sub Rosa prints on eBay last night for between ยฃ400-500 and when I checked this morning it was down to 3. There's a few more up this afternoon so some flippers have already made a quick ยฃ120-250.

Granted those of you in it for the appreciation in value rather than the appreciation of the work will likely see this as a negative. I however view it only as a positive. S

FAILE New Prints, by chitownhero on Nov 20, 2014 20:52:26 GMT 1, The only idiots trying to flip faile art are just that. Uneducated idiots just throwing money around. This edition was priced way too high to begin with, and that's not even accounting for the edition size.
I love my American idiot counter-parts. Fails like this discourage them from future 'flipping' and therefore puts them back out of the game into their sofa where they belong.
These will ALL be able to be had for cost or well under in the very near future. Patience is a virtue on this one, for sure.

FAILE New Prints, by freezy on Nov 20, 2014 21:48:54 GMT 1, If spending 3 or 4 hundred dollars on print and then not doubling your money on it right away discourages people from buying art...they can't afford to play "the game" in the first place.
More importantly... Never buy art you wouldn't want to keep.
Personally...I'd rather make real money in the stock market and enjoy art than see everything on my walls as a number.
