for the anti flippers, by Deleted on Dec 12, 2014 1:29:57 GMT 1, If people miss out on a print release they needn't worry as most artists will churn out another release not long after, plus they always come up for sale on ebay eventually and just scan the unsold listings and make the seller an offer.

People just have to have them because it's what everyone else wants.

At least on eBay the flippers are brave enough (or req'd...) to have a price!

One pays tax and the other gains 100% profit ;-)

for the anti flippers, by Hairbland on Dec 12, 2014 4:46:01 GMT 1, I, for one, would love to understand the self-entitlement that comes with collecting prints. What makes you think you're entitled to a print at cost that I had to put some time and effort in the process to acquire for you and other 'collectors' Us flippers provide a service- a damn necessary one at that. If it were not for flippers, 9 out of 10 of you would never even have a shot in hell at acquiring the pieces we get. For all of those reasons, we are entitled to our profits we deem suitable for the print in question. Buy it or not, all stuff worth anything will sell. Just because you're a cheap ass who feels he is owed something which you are not, does not make flipping wrong. I've even started to help get buddies involved in this. A true service which benefits all parties will sustain itself forever. Who doesn't like good money for hard work? I know I sure do!! Capitalism is the way everything should be. Always. Forever. Ha ha people started playing along with your posts instead of arguing, you need a new high. So you start a thread since nobody cares anymore. You need more than one joke. Funny routine, stayed on stage too long.
Thwack! (sound of door hitting you in a$$ on way out).

'The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round, the wheels on the bus goes round and round all day long'
I think it was about flipping prints and shouting about how much you made but no one caring because they're on a bus getting on with life.
No idea why the wipers keep wiping though, that blew my mind

ETA, what you are falsely praising is not capitalism . I have no wish to get all Adam Smith on yo pasty american ass. but you really ought to think about the basic concepts when adopting any philisophical/ ethical standpoint. blud

If it were not for flippers, 9 out of 10 of you would never even have a shot in hell at acquiring the pieces we get. First of all. I do earn a buck or two on buying and selling art, mainly buying and selling on the 2. hand marked. I do think this is part of the eco-system. But when I see an obvious logical failure like this I think it's just right to be addressed.
If there where no one buying from release with the intention to sell straight away to make a profit more collectors would acquire the piece. You do not provide a service by make the competition harder and then sell to the people right behind you in the queue. That is just self-righteous piece of crap. Maybe the demand still would be greater than the supply, but at least it would be collectors that acquired the pieces.

I really don't believe that you are a flipper because I don't buy the story on you getting all these releases, you never post images of the stuff you claim to have sold. Pictures please or it never happened.

It stands to reason that anyone who scored multiples of every hot print release going would deal with members here at some point - anyone had dealings with this member - no, I thought not !!!

for the anti flippers, by Ponyboy Curtis on Dec 12, 2014 13:26:52 GMT 1, I'd say over half my collection has been sourced on the secondary market. Just the way the game is really. Flippers/galleries/collectors. All the same if you ask me. If we need to sell then you sell at market price. See also some of the pieces I've lost money on. No point getting in a tizz about it if you ask me.
