Art Collection iphone app, by Justdave on Apr 30, 2015 10:56:26 GMT 1, Also when inputting your information you have to fill out all the fields. I think this should be changed, as I don't know when I brought some of my art so have to put a random date in. I'd rather have the option to leave blank.

Art Collection iphone app, by Happy Shopper on Apr 30, 2015 13:07:01 GMT 1, Does the app store all this information locally, or on a server somewhere?... Sounds like it's on the server! I wouldn't like the idea of information about my collection being available to someone I don't know. I think it's in the app, I don't think it's on a server. ย I may be wrong. ย I think the app needs entries of a certain number to work. ย So if you just add one piece having deleted the others he had already added, it has to add the others back as it can't function with one piece (even though you're getting ready to add other pieces of your own collection). ย I haven't a clue. ย I can only think it's that, I am sure he will let us know. ย I can log things as they happen when I am using it. ย He can then hopefully follow those steps to recreate and find what the bug is or change it if he happens to have made it standard in the app. ย I find it annoying. ย I don't want to delete that other art to find it comes back.ย If it is on a server, then surely he would have said? ย i also wouldn't want that and wouldn't have purchased it.
If you're updating the app, and then it's adding new works, then it could be local. But it doesn't sound like it's the app updating. It's pulling info off a server to fill the spaces.

If that's the case, it's better to tell the potential buyers pre purchase. If it is, i won't use it. There is nothing on the itunes app page to say this. I just left the app for a while and just now deleted the last addition that suddenly reappeared previously and now three more have appeared. It would be good to get some answers from him when he gets back to the forum.

Art Collection iphone app, by disturbart on Apr 30, 2015 14:31:30 GMT 1, HI all I am going to speak to my developer about the problems you have been having. I would advise holding fire on loading any new entries as I will try and get an update out asap to fix these issues.

So, is the information people upload just stored locally on their phone, or up on your server?

Art Collection iphone app, by 11 on Apr 30, 2015 15:07:26 GMT 1, It does say in the app description that it is all stored on the phone but I would still like some clarity on what, if anything is uploaded to a central server
If any information concerning collections is uploaded then can you tell us the purpose and whether the information remains private and secure.

Art Collection iphone app, by DameHoracia on May 14, 2015 16:13:30 GMT 1, Any chance we can get some answers please? I am normally reasonably patient, but I find it a tad rude that you as a developer ask for people to not only buy at full price (which I did) but to also request within this community 'how you can improve it' yet you don't follow through or answer questions.
I doubt you will fix the issues this app has. But it also shows there is little care for potential customers if your apps have bugs yet you don't follow through.

Art Collection iphone app, by disturbart on May 14, 2015 21:38:33 GMT 1, Hi All, I have been discussing this with my developer and he has confirmed that this fix is going to take about 2 weeks. I can assure you that I will get this fixed as I want the app to function correctly as I have spent a lot of time and money already on it. Please bear with me, and I will update you when its fixed. thanks. In the meantime I will also try and get your suggestions into this next update or the next one.

Art Collection iphone app, by Unica on May 16, 2015 8:08:31 GMT 1, So you can look at and keep inventory of your collection on your phone. Inventory? I'm not a gallery. I know exactly what I own and what it cost. Then you obviously won't be buying it. The app is more likely useful to people with large collections built up over possibly many years who don't have the ability to retain the details of all their purchases. You wouldn't necessary have to be a gallery. I haven't bought the app but can see where it would be useful as I can't recall the price and date of each purchase I have made, especially pieces bought 10 years ago. It's a $5 app, not really a lot of money to most people who frequent this forum I suspect, good luck to the guy.
