Baltimore Rising, by simulacrum7 on Apr 28, 2015 15:13:41 GMT 1, More like Baltimore falling. Most of the rioters are not seeking justice - they are seeking free stuff and burning down their own community in the process.

Baltimore Rising, by thisisanton on Apr 28, 2015 15:44:43 GMT 1, Is the rioting over Grayโs death or just an excuse to destroy and loot? It's pretty sad to see this type of mob mentality. If they want their voices to be heard, do it in a smart way and not destroy your own community. At the end of the day they still live in the same place, but now it's just trashed.
Why would you want to make a print to highlight their stupid actions? Why not do a print to help the people of Nepal?

Im 42 years old from harlem the police brutality the blacks endure here is out of this world. tell me as Blacks in America how do we get justice? we tried everything but violence and things still remain the same! a 22 year old black kid had 80% of his spine severed and no answers!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think the looting is unnecessary but when you push a race of people in the corner for 500 years this is what you get. anytime your government uses violence against its people expect violence back.

Baltimore Rising, by Deleted on Apr 28, 2015 18:50:44 GMT 1, its funny Banksy and other artist take advantage of every situation and nobody says nothing they cheer them on but when someone like me expresses what i feel through art this is what i get. funny! I notice alot of you follow what you think is hot cause you told by other people it is! the power belongs to the people not the corporations. free mind your and your ass will follow! Im do more art of the riots because this is how I feel being Black in this country it beats throwing a rock through a window.! so what you call mindless behavior is oppression carried out by the youth was has the worst educational system in the world and the lack of resources. every bully gets what they deserve at the end of the day and as blacks in America we getting bullied!!! oh and my favorite Banksy piece is the KLANSMAN hanging in the woods! I hate racism and the people who perpetrate it.

Baltimore Rising, by simulacrum7 on Apr 28, 2015 19:59:10 GMT 1, I've got no problem with protests. I've got no problem standing up to police. But what's going on in Baltimore is counter-productive to any cause. 1. The rioters are destroying the community they live in. That's not standing up to bullies or racists. 2. Running out of stores with your arms full of stolen merchandise is not making a statement against police brutality. There are better ways to get justice: social movements, civil litigation, public relations, organized non-violent protests. Violence begets violence. Things are not the same in America for minorities as they were 50 years ago. Not even close. Those gains were made non-violently.

Your kneejerk wholesale regurgitation of a racist corporate media byline is stunning. Turn the TV off, put down your Daily Mail and get on the internet, dig a little deeper. The story's not about a few kids stealing and throwing rocks, it's about the institutionalised brutality and murder of unarnmed Black Americans by a seemingly unaccountable militarised racist police force.

The story's not about a few kids stealing and throwing rocks, it's about the institutionalised brutality and murder of unarnmed Black Americans by a seemingly unaccountable militarised racist police force. Just to let you know where I'm coming from . . . I am a Latino male who grew up very poor. I am familiar with how police treat poor racial minorities. I also grew up listening to stories from my parents about life for minorities in the 1950s and 1960s. I am also familiar with the history of race and race relations in the United States. I've been profiled by police and I've had racial slurs directed towards me. So, I cannot account for how my perspective is a "regurgitated racist corporate media byline," but I definitely don't appreciate the language of White liberal condescension. My argument:
1. Criminal actions committed by police officers should be protested and investigated and punished accordingly.
2. Burning your own neighborhood to the ground is not an efficient means of protest because it is YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
