Out of curiosity, why exactly do you think her pricing "is way out of line?" Because it does end up selling out, right? So it would seem her collectors disagree with you.
And I suppose some might bring up the PTA release, but I'd challenge them to show me an artist that hasn't had a below average release at one point. Or one that has a completely unique style that no one has ever come close to doing before.

I like Maya's work. Wouldn't say it has as much meaning as a Banksy nor as much visual appeal as Katrin Fridricks,, but it looks very good on the wall.
Thing is she has a history of screwing up releases of prints - the kayrock debacle was ludicrous. High price, managed by muppets, the customer service was crap for those who missed out (worlds worst apology email) and for those who got one (worlds worst shipping) - PTA is a great print house, but the image might have been a little less appealing, the series was high and the price even higher
I think she does it to herself honestly. This does not make her less of an artist but I for one can't be bothered with her ill managed releases of the same stuff anymore...
