Zesty Poison apple- have you received yours?, by Iqra'a on Nov 3, 2015 12:33:28 GMT 1, Really? Like, really, really? Because I was just thinking that Zedsy's signature looks a bit like one of the Banksys.... Wait... weren't Rose Gold editions only available in APs? And wasn't it an edition of 12 rather than 30?

Zesty Poison apple- have you received yours?, by 11 on Nov 3, 2015 13:52:50 GMT 1, Wait... weren't Rose Gold editions only available in APs? And wasn't it an edition of 12 rather than 30? No, originally there was only the Gold edition, his big cartel site didn't have stock control and massively oversold. He created 30 of each Rose Gold and Silver and offered them to those who were in the over-sell, or you could just get a refund.
In doing the others he also produced 12 AP's of each colour which is what went on sale the other day. In total there are 30 main edition and 12 AP's of each colour-way, Gold, Rose Gold and Silver
edit : as Whitefish said

I guess I'll be the first to say no they don't. If this ends up being a banksy — which it won't — I'll eat my socks.

I guess you can't take a joke i think people can take a joke but there are lot of people spending money on a wish it is a banksy. I know this should not be the case but it happens and saying it might be a banksy causes confusion and hype.
The prices for these on the bay are a joke and yes i am after one as i like it but i am not willing to pay those prices.
Just my thoughts thats all....................

However, Can we all agree theres a 99.9 perent chance that its more likely to be a banksy than any of Outis' prints. Or no? Too soon to make those comparisons??

Well, Bradford and Bristol both start with same two letters (BR)

Zesty Poison apple- have you received yours?, by met on Nov 10, 2015 0:46:42 GMT 1, Print looks great. Liking the Dismaland stamp on the c.o.a. Really? Like, really, really? Because I was just thinking that Zedsy's signature looks a bit like one of the Banksys.... For me, this is Dismaland coattail-riding at its worst by an uninvited artist. A Banksy-like signature (as pathetic as the recent Jboy signature) and using the Dismaland logo on the COAs makes it all the more desperate.
The artwork's theme wasn't even that interesting years ago. For how long could such an image actually retain a person's interest?
Nevertheless, if anyone missed out and still wants something similar, check out the street and studio pieces by Speedy Graphito from about 2011 onwards. You'll find plenty featuring Snow White / Apple in different mediums and formats — both originals and multiples, more heavily worked, and with a variety of different titles, including Temptation and Enticement.

It is interesting. Jboy got some stick for attempting to emulate some of the hype/hysteria that Outis (albeit briefly) tapped into. Outis also received criticism. I think perhaps the effort of actually getting the print into Dismaland and pasting it up probably gives it some additional clout with street art fans?

You could well be right, but I myself see it as simply an attempt by an unknown artist to forcibly associate himself with Banksy.
That said, I do understand the thrill of successfully managing to gatecrash somebody else's party. I also appreciate rule-breakers, risk-takers and the art of impudence.
It's always a question of degree and context. This case for me is one of unseemly, opportunistic piggybacking — as opposed to a stunt that could be viewed as glorious.

Yh but guys, it was £15.....and £10 of that went to charity....and it is hand-sprayed
Even the AP's which I had expected him to cash in on a little bit were priced at £28 (but not sure if there was a charitable donation in that or not)
I clocked it at Dismaland and snapped one up (after posting it up on UAA of course ). Admittedly, when I first saw it I went a bit wobbly thinking 'wtf have i just found' and bought it in a blink. Only afterwards pondered if id just been suckered......at which point I reminded myself it was £15 so very different to Jboy and Outis
It's got people to notice him, lets see whether he can develop anything from it.....and if not THEN we'll throw him to the Wolves

Zesty Poison apple- have you received yours?, by Dr Plip on Nov 10, 2015 1:33:35 GMT 1, Oh no! I forgot they are using charity to promote their own business/art. We need to crucify them for that as well. Wait, are we doing that? I forget what to get angry about sometimes.
All joking aside, we should support fledgling artists. Some fly, some fall from the nest and smash their brains out on the rocks below. No need to push them out of the nest. Let them take their time.

M Reiterating what's said , £15 for a hand sprayed original was priced at , can't complain? and supporting a charity , was not hyped and dishonestly marketed as or could be Banksy unlike the mass produced outis screen print which then led to people paying way over the odds on the secondary market .
Think more of the interest was made by the thread posted on here during the show , which was not by the artist .
A lot of unknown and emerging artists charge £125 for a screen print and that is seen as the norm but still I think is expensive , I think if you managed to buy from source thi is a nice momento of a great show with the association etc
Editions were kept small and assuming the many requests for more prints has not fallen to multiple editions , colour ways, different backgrounds , test prints and special editions. (Yet ?)

Think more of the interest was made by the thread posted on here during the show , which was not by the artist . A lot of unknown and emerging artists charge £125 for a screen print and that is seen as the norm but still I think is expensive , I think if you managed to buy from source thi is a nice momento of a great show with the association etc Editions were kept small and assuming the many requests for more prints has not fallen to multiple editions , colour ways, different backgrounds , test prints and special editions. (Yet ?)

Zesty Poison apple- have you received yours?, by Wearology on Nov 10, 2015 5:32:20 GMT 1, I have NOT received mine in the US. Hopefully it won't be a complete shi! show like the Ai Wei Wei charity bicycle thing that arrived glued together and ripped into 15 pieces. Just because it is for charity shouldn't give you a license to steal.
