Donald Trump, by Wisconinla on Apr 17, 2019 0:12:48 GMT 1, itโs funny how the most prolific trump hater here, arenโt from, nor live in America.... ๐
Itโs also โfunnyโ how many Trump supporters assert some factually inaccurate nonsense, get called out (with actual facts), and then immediately pivot to some other nonsense point without even acknowledging their last.
As stated by Gingrich, Feelings > Facts is the new GOP mantra.

Donald Trump, by everyoneowes on Apr 17, 2019 0:23:46 GMT 1, remember how not ONE person called trump a racist till he declared his run 4 president? floyd mayweather realized it.... You're joking, right? ย It is well known that he was taken to court for not leasing flats to black people. ย In court he told the prosecutor; "I bet you wouldn't want these blacks living next door to you, would you?"
..... and for a few cockwombles on this forum that's a perfectly reasonable train of thought......

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Apr 17, 2019 2:58:30 GMT 1, remember how not ONE person called trump a racist till he declared his run 4 president? floyd mayweather realized it.... You're joking, right? It is well known that he was taken to court for not leasing flats to black people. In court he told the prosecutor; "I bet you wouldn't want these blacks living next door to you, would you?" Yes, he was taken to court. The Trumps and their company entered into a consent decree settling the litigation in 1975. The agreement contained no admission of wrongdoing.
Also, he didn't say that to a prosecutor, what he said was that he didn't want to rent out to welfare class people, them being either white or black, because he didn't want the value of his property to go down.
But everything and everyone is a racist sounds like a much better narrative for the far left. So sad.

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Apr 17, 2019 3:04:40 GMT 1, There is NO such thing as a Trump boom - check the numbers rather than drinking the kool-aid. Quarter 1 of 2019 US GDP growth: 1.5%. Previous quarter: 2.2%. There ainโt a Trump boom at all. The only meaningful policy has been the tax cut for the rich and corporations (about 150 billions so far), and that as expected has only given 2 quarters of sugar high to the economy and (as expected) has had no lasting impact (see eg missing investment growth). Total cost of this useless tax farsa and bonanza for the rich: about $2 trillions over a decade. Not surprisingly, the ones clueless about the facts are the ones supporting this administration. Ignorance ainโt bliss. I wonder how this fits into your narrative 'tax cut for the rich'?
www.investors.com/politics/editorials/republican-tax-cuts-fairness-rich-share-paid/
Boston University economist Laurence Kotlikoff, along with University of California, Berkeley, economist Alan Auerbach, conducted a detailed analysis of the winners and losers of the tax bill.
They found virtually no change in the progressivity of the tax reforms. The rich, they concluded, "will pay essentially the same share of taxes" as before.
Data from the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center shows the tax code getting more progressive under the Republican tax cuts, according to a report on the data in the Wall Street Journal.
Top 0.1%, for example, will see their share of federal income taxes paid climb to 22% this year, up from 18.9% last year.
The share of income taxes paid by the top 1% will reach 43.3% this year, compared with 38% last year.
How is this possible, given that the law cuts the top income tax rates?
Because while it cut taxes for the relatively few rich in the country, the law also cuts taxes for the vast middle class โ through lower rates, a much larger standard deduction, and doubled per-child tax credit.
The law also kicks many families off the tax code entirely. According to the Tax Policy Center, 45.8% "tax units" will owe nothing in federal income taxes this year, or will get a net refund thanks to tax credits. That's up from 43.4% under the old law.
So, thanks to the GOP tax cuts, the rich will pay either the same or a greater share of the nation's income tax bill and millions more will pay zero income taxes. How exactly is this a "giveaway" to the rich?
Indeed, by the Democrats' own definition, the Republican tax reform โ which zero Democrats voted for โ has made the tax code more fair, not less.
Just don't expect them to ever admit this.

How do you people even get that idea?
There isn't a racist around every corner lurking in the shadows. Racist are extremely rare, and thank god for that. In the West we have the least amount of racism EVER in the history of the world. Start being fucking thankful for the progress we've made in our Western cultures and stop crying racist to everyone that opposes your views. It makes you look weak, it diminishes your arguments (if you even pose any) and reasonable people simply won't want to listen to you anymore, achieving the OPPOSITE of what you want to achieve.

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Apr 17, 2019 3:19:03 GMT 1, Sorry guys, but you canโt call racist a racist. If you do, it is because you are biased toward considering racist whoever simply happens to continuously make racist statements. But racist statements, even if followed by tangible actions over many years, the (il)logic goes, are clearly not a proof that the racist is a racist - especially if he/she happened to have had at least one minority acquaintance back in high school. The only way you can prove that the racist is a racist is that you catch him/her wearing KKK insegna and burning a cross. Unless, obviously, that was intended just as a joke or locker room banter. In which case you have no proof that the racist is a racist, sorry - itโs just your damn bias pointing fingers at the innocent racist. No guys, instead we should do the opposite. We should label everyone that opposes our far left ideology a racist or other -ism, because then we get progress and equality and more polar bears and a cooler climate, or, something, like, idk, because I'm like, AOC and I just don't know things. TRAINS TO HAWAII FTW

Good to hear that you started looking for better sources (and Iโm not ironic).
Note that the article you cite is highly controversial (some would say bogus) since they get their out of the chorus conclusion not driven by the actual numbers but rather by what they ASSUME (or would like) the tax cuts would do to people incomeโs in the future.
Chiefly, they assume (counterfactually) that the tax cut will cause a massive increase in incomes at the bottom, and thatโs what drives their conclusion. The surreal benchmark they have (or at least when Iโve seen it - this is unpublished, hence in progress) is that the tax cut would cause real wages to grow by 5-6%. Why surreal? Because 1) not even the most staunch supporter of the tax cut has projected such a growth effect (not even Barro got that), 2) for such an effect to arise the tax cut should cause a boom in business investment (in order to increase labour productivity and demand and push wages up) but nothing of this sort has happened in the data - firms are using the tax windfall to buy back stocks instead. Furthermore, they focus on the top 1% without distinguishing the one that have high labour income from the ones that have mostly capital gains income (the real beneficiary of the tax robbery).
Baseline: as it stands, I would not take this paper seriously at this stage at all (eg check how many citations it got, and donโt old your breath to see it published in a top journal based on its voodoo assumptions).

But everything and everyone is a racist sounds like a much better narrative for the far left. So sad. You are wrong. He didn't say "welfare class people" he said "black people". The racism was, in fact, proved in an undercover experiment. They had two couples apply for the same flat, both had identical references and had stable full-time jobs. One couple were white (and got accepted), the other couple were black (and got refused).
You're joking, right? It is well known that he was taken to court for not leasing flats to black people. In court he told the prosecutor; "I bet you wouldn't want these blacks living next door to you, would you?" Yes, he was taken to court. Donald Trump, by Hairbland on Apr 17, 2019 10:34:26 GMT 1, Trumps campaign promise to build the wall was one reason people voted for him. The Democrats policy seems to be to support no borders and create a similar situation in the US with opening the borders to migrants that has happened in Europe. This is not true, this is the rhetoric of an idiot. I believe you live somewhere in France and have spouted racist opinions in the past. Correct me if Iโm mistaken.
The Dems have always supported immigration control. Trump has used racist rhetoric to maintain his largely intellectually challenged base. A number of times the Dems have agreed to immigration plans as proposed only to have Trump scuttle them at the last minute.
You donโt offer much regarding proper art criticism and your political opinions seem conceived while having a leisurely read on the toilet. There is a movie thread here, maybe try that one?

I have never spouted racist opinions just facts and if you don't like the truth that's not my problem.
You are just a stalker who has nothing to contribute to any thread apart from attacking people with snidey remarks.
Only idiots and criminals support allowing in mass migration with no vetting knowing that there will always be a percentage of people who commit serious crimes amongst the migrants and by vetting each one the chances of criminals entering a country is decreased by a significant amount compared to not vetting and allowing in people without vetting. You don't care about victims because then you acknowledge you are a hypocrit.
So what do you do, you attack and insult people and call them racist. It shows everyone how thick you really are.
Yes blame Trump for scuttling the non elected Dems immigration plans. KKK supporting Clinton is far more racist than Trump and far more dishonest.
The migrant caravan was orchestrated in an effort to accuse Trump of racism knowing that as President he cannot allow the people in the caravan to enter the US illegally. The mainstream media including CNN streamed very biased and dishonest reporting which is just propaganda not news reporting against Trump.
I offer a lot more on this forum than you do.
Whats wrong you have a bee up your arse cos I posted that Mark Rothko is a crappy artist.
There again you and your clique stick together and promote any one who is part of your tribe.
Maybe you can compare notes with bolshevik Bob

Not all Trump supporters are Racist.
But all Racists happen to be Trump Supporters

Donald Trump, by Chris JL on Apr 18, 2019 8:38:36 GMT 1, u just proved ur statement wong, as i am a support, yet not a racist.... n at the same time u show the constant name calling n ignorance of the left.... well played!
Sorry mate, you are an enabler. You own the guy, his policies and his public statements. Thatโs a mirror of the choices you make and it is telling about you. Your choices are a testament of who you are, what you condone, and what you are comfortable with.
But yes, I would feel ashamed at your place indeed, so I understand your need of strong denial and uncalled for insults and aggressivity. Try the Harvard unconscious biases test instead. Might give you some comfort (or else): implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html

Donald Trump, by Jaylove on Apr 20, 2019 0:32:59 GMT 1, no collusion, no obstruction, after a 2yr+ investigation that i paid 4 as n american with my tax dollars.... a true farce. What are you talking about?
The guy attempted to obstruct justice a number of times and his staff didn't do it. He tried to get people to LIE for him. He has proven to be a LIAR. This is not good. The only reason why he's not in prison is because you can't prosecute a sitting president. There are 16 separate ongoing investigations involving him. He clearly sought the help of the Russians to help him win the election.
I mean, you think that's a waste of time? If this idiot would stop lying and deceiving everyone, there would not be a need to go through this entire investigation.
Trump using the AG as his own personal lawyer may seem OK to you, but that's not how it works. I fear that people are so lost that they actualy believe Trump. Which makes sense since he has so many mindless backers.
He belongs to the same party that spent your tax money going after Obama's birth certificate. But a president canoodling with the Russians, LYING to the American people and getting people to lie for him to break the law is...OK.
I hope he gets thrown in jail the minute he's out of office.
Trump is smart. He knows his supporters are devoid of independent thought and get their news handed to them. They can't even take the time and due their own due diligence and investigate for themselves. They get their news via catch phrases. Completely changed the narrative because he knows his base is stupid.

The Mueller investigation will have produced an estimated $46 million in civil forfeitures from the Manafort prosecution / plea deal - Newsweek 9/15/18 (amongst many other sources). The tax payer in essence paid $0

But I can understand it must be hard, the left has had their hopes on this for two whole years and it's all a big nothingburger.
Hahaha.
