PERSISTENCE OF A CULTURE (work in progress), by Sliding on the Walls on Dec 10, 2015 15:44:57 GMT 1, Hey Tommy that is a really nice and interesting piece!
It deserves more comments than it's had so far!
I'm assuming it's 47x54 inches not cms? I can see you working on huge canvases that take up whole walls. The surrealism reminds me of the likes of Patrick Caulfield, Al Held, Yves Tanguay, Dali (obviously) and the reductive areas influenced perhaps by Kandinsky, the geometry of Monica Trastoy with the bright colours of Andrew McAttee and more modern influences like Daim, Dalek, and the NYC hip-hop streetlife culture of the 1980s.
Great stuff!

Thanks! I really appreciate the assessment. People rarely Comment on my work here if ever. It sells pretty well though. I try to challenge myself as an artist and not keep reproducing the same thing over and over. Im tryin to keep it fresh and creative.

I have discussed this on another thread. I think the introduction of the "like" button has hindered conversation. Now it's all too easy to just click "like" and leave it at that. Indeed I am guilty if doing just that, in this case, as I had "liked" your picture of your painting before any comment was made. I apologise for that. I should have commented with real words. I'll probably do it again though, as it's just too easy!
