there is that mosquito canvas.... would someone want to buy that, or is it a 'not so great piece' so it will always be priced lower for instance? maybe lenin on skates too? because its not so iconic comapred to others.?

I would completly agree with lonelyfarmer been a lurker I can recall shootagain offering a print for 12k in here that sold at auction for about 20k a print not a og. People that are serious in here that have ogs will take it to auction. Its not 2002 anymore the days if selling ogs on this forum are over. Thats the equivalent of david cameron selling a pig on ebay. I got a banksy stencilled cow which Is a og the image is that faded it has gone now but i swear banksy did stencil my cow. It was on sale in farmers weekly for 900 but you can have it for 5 grand. |

I have an old fashioned jaded view I suppose, I have been attending sales for over fifty years and have rarely come across a seller who did not think they could have got a bit more somehow.

What I said was I would not think the person would get a private seller on here, I should have added 'At this moment in time', IMO, and it is my view, is that anyone looking to sell a Banksy original or editioned canvas will, after researching previous auction results, will choose that route to sell even calculating in fees, I would think if they are offered 100k privately that they might think they would get a better hammer at a sale with a world wide audience. I may be wrong in thinking this I don't know but that is my view.
