Thank you for your support, young Royston, but I am a terrible street artist.

Top 3 Street Artists of the Year 2015, by Deleted on Jan 3, 2016 12:05:31 GMT 1, For me it's Dan Kitchener for going out there and doing it. Creating great art freehand. Plus actually posting on this forum and interacting with people.
Others are great too but feel they should not interact directly on forums. Prima donnas.

Top 3 Street Artists of the Year 2015, by Deleted on Jan 3, 2016 12:30:08 GMT 1, Lots of great stuff produced this year and many of the artists listed above but one who hasnt been mentioned, unless i missed it, is Pahnl.
His exhibition in Coventry was technically fantastic whilst being very funny (and even educational)at the same time. Over and above that he released some great prints and he topped off the year with the book of the exhibition.

Dods is not known as "Le Pimpernel" for nothing.

Top 3 Street Artists of the Year 2015, by samfrost on Jan 3, 2016 17:47:37 GMT 1, 1. Banksy (of course) - Seemed like his biggest year since BOTI.
2. Pejac - Consistently one of the most creative urban artists out there. 2016 should be a huge year for him. Well managed artist with one print release this year and original works have yet to appear for sale. Hoping that his art continues to land in the hands of collectors and not flippers.
3. 1010 - Had a great show in San Fran at Hashimoto and several enormous pieces in Europe.
Also was 2015 the year that the Norwegian/Scandinavian "artist" bubble popped?

Top 3 Street Artists of the Year 2015, by globalplanb on Jan 8, 2016 15:46:34 GMT 1, @niceguyg , I do see the wider point you are making about the atmosphere of Dismaland being influenced by ethics we often associate with street art, or at least common tropes used in street art. However, for me there is a difference between something being influenced by street art and actually being street art, and I do not necessarily equate social or political activism with street art. I like your observation about Dismaland as a crossover event. I also really wanted to touch upon the first observation in your answer, as this is of special interest to me: Personally, I no longer see sanctioned/legal work as being outside the realm of the street art scene. In my research, I have generally defined street art as unsanctioned. This is of course contentious, but it is one of the ways that I have chosen to delimit a vast body of empirical material. Does your observation that you "no longer see sanctioned/legal work as being outside the realm of the street art scene" mean that you previously did see sanctioned/legal work as being outside the realm of street art? And if so, what has changed and made you reconsider this position? I too find this position confusing as I still see two very distinct approaches! The non sanctioned streetartist has autonomy over placement and message while commissioned work is given a place of execution and often vetted for content and appearance so one becomes Streetart while the other is simply art on the street

What on earth does Wysiwyg mean?! These abbreviations are getting very difficult for us Luddites to understand.

Top 3 Street Artists of the Year 2015, by t3c on Jan 8, 2016 17:06:17 GMT 1, RAE's street art sculptures and paste ups have my vote. And earlier in the year his Trunk Work Show was the highlight for me. Great execution, meticulous attention to detail, outside the gallery world. As close to indoor street art as you can get. Second, Phlegm's Forrest Residency. Unique idea. Outside the box and the work looked killer too. I was going for those 2 for the exact same reasons!
Rae - Solid work in NYC all year, gutted to miss the trunk show being the on the other side of the pond Phlegm - I found 5 of these in Epping forest (not easy to locate at all) and there is a small mural right near where i live
Third would be a toss up between Stik or Fanakapan for me, both have been busy in 2015 and a joy to see their works crop up here and there
If we're talking hitting the street (or forest) for real they be my top picks for 2015

Would love a European show, but not getting my hopes up !

Top 3 Street Artists of the Year 2015, by mlocks on Jan 8, 2016 21:46:34 GMT 1, 1010 Ben Frost Alex Garant Brett Amory Jessica Hess
Not all of these necessarily fitting neatly into the category of "street art" per se, just some of the artists that I've been following more closely this past year.
