Bast - Mickey - Framed by Homebase!, by klyde on Dec 20, 2007 8:46:31 GMT 1, Frame was only ยฃ24.99 from Homebase. It fits perfectly. Comes with a cream mount which I painted black. Saved a few quid anyway!

Thanks.
Away from the glass? Not really no.
Could that be much of a problem?

It is common knowledge in the framing world that you never put the work of art/photograph against the glass because this will happen over a period of time. Depending on the climate where you live it could happen sooner rather than latter, but you never put the art against the glass. If you try to sell it later on and potential buyers knew you kept it framed they will ask you if it was kept against the glass and if you respond to them honestly they will be less likely to buy. If you want to display the deckled edge on your print in a frame you have to have it float-mounted to prevent it from touching the glass. Good luck.

Bast - Mickey - Framed by Homebase!, by klyde on Dec 20, 2007 16:10:51 GMT 1, Thanks for your comments and concern.
Will probably get it framed properly in the new year.
For now, this is the best option for ยฃ24.99!
Will be float mounting my stop and search, even though it will fit in one of these frames just like the Bast.

nice work, i used one of these for a toxic mary, no need to go over the top, but i would recommend getting a good mount cut to fit it, the frame though is perfectly fine, the amount you spend on it should always be in context with the value of the print and its likely rise in value, which is a bit of guesswork of course
