Are you going to Bethlehem this xmas?, by stuey09 on Dec 3, 2007 20:18:07 GMT 1, Won't be going of course, cash strapped as it is and even if I did get there there'd be no money left for the art. It would be a great experience though, if I were loaded I wouldn't be thinking twice about going.
Just about sums up my situation CBL. What a fantastic experience for those flying out there though.

Yep, and something those flying out wouldn't do in their lifetime probably if it wasn't for this. It's a brilliant idea, lots of credit to all those involved.

I agree, although cynics could say some people are only going to get their hands on the prints and don't actually give two sugar lumps about the cause.

Are you going to Bethlehem this xmas?, by amybeak on Dec 4, 2007 14:26:23 GMT 1, Hi,
I'm a journalist who is trying to get a paper to send me out there to write a story ;-). Quite interested in people who are going out off their own back though. Bongo and Cardboard Box Dave - are you going and would you be willing to answer a few questions? Anyone else, even if you're not going but would like to, interested in answering questions?
Would you go all the way to Bethlehem in order to buy art? If you are going/do want to go what are your motives - to buy art because you're a collector / because you want to sell it (albeit it for charity)/to see for yourselves the state of the conflict out there? If you're going what have you been advised? Any precautions? Do you need any sort of permit/visa? Why not just wait for the online scrum of prints?
If anyone does get out there would you up for being interviewed about your experiences?
Thanks guys.

Are you going to Bethlehem this xmas?, by jonpud on Dec 4, 2007 14:37:31 GMT 1, Can you beleive that for the past 15 years I have travelled to the Holy Land to celebrate the birthday of Jesus, to get away from the false world we live in and the greed that is commercial christmas in England. To travel and fullfill my life with the true meaning of christmas has been my salvation!
For the past few years my annual pilgrimage has caused me to miss Santa's Ghetto in London. This year I prayed and explained to The Lord that I would be staying in England as I did not want to miss the Ghetto, you would have thought he would have understood!
Posted this elsewhere, but I think it explains my predicament!

Are you going to Bethlehem this xmas?, by jonpud on Dec 4, 2007 14:47:20 GMT 1, Sorry!
So what did you want to ask me?! ;D
Thought I'd better add that I am not actually going but seeing as papers are full of lies then it wouldn't make any difference anyway!
