US banksy buyers, will there be a sale Friday?, by dwight on Jun 24, 2016 5:37:18 GMT 1, We're not yet seeing market losses that are so much greater than the largest single day drops experienced earlier this year so I'm not sure it's the "worldwide financial chaos" you are thinking...unless you are saying we were in worldwide financial chaos several times already this year here in the US... I do agree that it's quite surprising, and quite unprecedented. The UK economy is going to be pretty turbulent, but I don't imagine this will be anything worse than what's happened over the last 18 months in the energy sector. I'm very interested to watch this unfold...basically a huge currency war.

far bigger issues today than wondering if a piece of paper or canvas is gonna be 10-15% less in dollar terms- while currency fluctuations do have an effect on prices, who cares. apologies for even bringing it up- i couldnt believe what i was seeing last night and was really hoping it was not going to be the case

it was midnight where i was and i had to be at work at 5 am. while theres been a lot of speculation on brexit's pricing of banksy, the words i chose were very poor in furthering that discussion when it looked like there was a good chance of this passing in the middle of the night. The idea was to have a discussion on effects but this was just a stupid choice of words. I should have said something more along the lines "will sideline us buyers push up banksy in ยฃ terms" purely from a currency perspective- "onsale" comes across as tacky
