If Trainspotting was about 'everyday life', by stillborncrisps on Nov 6, 2016 14:18:54 GMT 1, I saw an interview with Robert Carlyle and he said there hasn't been a ton of money thrown at it, they haven't all asked for insane fees, and they filmed it all in a matter of weeks - a quick in and out just for the love of it.
This coupled with the book being written 10 years ago and many years after Trainspotting came out gives me high hopes that T2 isn't gonna be complete shit.
Aprehensively excited.

So is T2 based on 'Porno'?
I enjoyed both the Trainspotting spin offs - Porno and Skagboys. In fact I've enjoyed most of Irvine Welsh's books - Acid House was great, Filth a classic and the only one for me that was decent but not a classic was 'The bedroom secrets of the master chefs'.
I grew up reading 'Oor Wullie' comics as a kid too, so the dialect was never a bother.

Blade Artist i would say maybe not as straightforward as "Skagboys" or a "Decent Ride", but an interesting bridge between the US novels (e.g., Sex Lives of the Siamese Twins) and the local Transporting crew
Also feels like the end of an era when you get to the end of the book kind of like James Bonds Aston blowing up...but won't spoil it
well worth the read if you like his stuff
