I bought mine for 1,400 This is one of the reason this kind of posts are annoying cause a month or so on and someone tries to double their money when many collectors missed out.

Conor Harrington Hide and Seek - £1500, by andyroo0312 on Dec 11, 2016 10:15:54 GMT 1, Its a shame this forum has basically become a gallery. What ever happened to mates rates. Oh look i got this on the drop yesterday for £500 but because you guys are so cool you can have it for £1500 WTF. 90% of stuff i have sold on here i have lost money. Great example with my recent sale thread member really wanted a particular print and i knew he was a real collector of that particular artist but had expressed he has little money but would i take $$$ after 10minutes of thought my thinking was hell yeah. I would much prefer to drop a few bucks and know someone ends up putting it on the wall than to hold out for more cash from some tosser i know nothing about. Sorry if this comes across a little hostile but i thought the reason to be a member on a forum was to chat, share and help out where possible. Maybe i am dreaming but my mind thinks different... Sorry if i hijacked or upset anyone as that was not my intention, plus i have been drinking Makers Mark Gold Wax...

100% agree. These sales threads almost make it out as though they are doing us a favour with the price I.e twice as much here as release that was just a month ago. As Roo said make a bit of cash but maybe 1000 to someone (getting references from other forum members) who will appreciate it and doesn't feel as though they are being recycled back into the commercial aspect of art we see so often on this site.

Conor Harrington Hide and Seek - £1500, by john4444 on Dec 11, 2016 11:36:09 GMT 1, Hold on a sec.... 100% disagree.
If you want to sell your art at a cheap price good for you. Find deserving buyers and help them if that makes you feel good. In just the same way someone might want to sell their art for a profit, that is what they do to make themselves feel good! Who are you to say what is right and what is wrong?
Cheers, John

Conor Harrington Hide and Seek - £1500, by seanburke on Dec 11, 2016 12:52:20 GMT 1, It's £500-£700 below the market value. Not sure you'll get it cheaper.
Surprised it hasn't sold - if I was selling, it would be £2k on eBay and £1750 here as I'd prefer to see it go to a member and obvious eBay fees.
Mates rates are for real life mates.

and how many users on this forum have multiple accounts solely for the purpose of trying to fleece good guys who have no idea what their art is worth?
The market is king and always will be. Money talks, bullshit walks.
If you want to sell something don't be afraid to ask what you want. Either it sells or it doesn't. If you want to buy something buy it...

I recently joined this forum in the hopes of circumventing the flippers and finding those genuinely interested in doing what you described. Hell, look at eBay. Yesterday the D*Face print dropped and they're already going for almost triple! I don't mind spending a few extra bucks because at the end of the day, the seller is entitled to make extra if the demand is high but let's be realistic. When you see the same print scattered on other sites for double or triple it's worth ( look at this same print on eBay ) it gets frustrating to say the least.

Conor Harrington Hide and Seek - £1500, by john4444 on Dec 11, 2016 15:32:42 GMT 1, More sensible to get yourself on dealer mailing lists as this might help you buy a print when it becomes available. Calling someone a 'flipper' simply because they are more organised/better connected or whatever does not help. The market is what the market is. 7.5 billion people on the planet, some of them very rich and with a taste for what you want and it's not looking good. To paraphrase another gem from this forum 'that ship sailed a long time ago', lol...

Yesterday the D*Face print dropped and they're already going for almost triple! do people really not understand the difference between LISTING something and SELLING something on ebay? i could list the print for £10,000.... it doesn't mean that is the market rate. those union jacked prints aren't selling for triple. 1 sale for £500 shipped. that's it.

The market is what the market is. 7.5 billion people on the planet, some of them very rich and with a taste for what you want and it's not looking good. To paraphrase another gem from this forum 'that ship sailed a long time ago', lol... Let me get this straight. The market for this particular print is marked drastically high from the base price in other places. OP places this print at a "considerable" price compared to the market. No one bites except " two people who can not afford it". He then lowers it and we're having this discussion as opposed to a sale. And a flipper more organized/better connected? Please tell me how that factors to both the avid collector and flipper refreshing their browser constantly and for what ever reason, one gets through and the other doesn't due to the many contributing factors of the internet. Should I now have to pay up to 3x the price for being a second too late? I think if I were the very rich you described, I wouldn't buy prints on sites and opt for originals at auctions instead but that's just me and my liking lol.
