Banksy • Flag SILVER, by dan993c2 on Feb 14, 2022 10:38:19 GMT 1, Hi guys an opportunity has arisen whereby I need to raise some funds. I have a Silver Flags that I am willing to sell. This has never been framed and is currently stored flat using acid free materials. It has Pest Control COA and I’m sure it’s the latest new design and it is registered in my name. This example is pretty much mint condition with only a very minor mark in one spot that’s shows up in certain light. Obviously with Banksy valuations people always have their own opinion. Due to the condition and my own thoughts I value this at 25k sterling and that is my price. Would prefer a face to face but could ship by Flight Logistics if full cost of shipping and insurance is met by the purchaser. I can obviously send detailed images to any interested parties but this will have to be done later on tonight after I fetch the print.
Any other questions then please ask.

Good luck with the sale. A lovely print at a very fair price.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by Fuzzyduck121 on Apr 28, 2022 9:39:24 GMT 1, I reckon private sale of 17,500 is actually a good deal for the buyer and seller
Last 2/3 auctions before fees have been 13-18k I reckon but I haven’t worked it out exactly

I know it’s a forum but why does every sales post have members giving their opinions on price, he/she will know what a sensible price is and if they want to ask more or less that’s their prerogative and that’s that.

I think if it’s done constructively it’s not an issue. Ultimately it’s a forum not eBay. It can benefit the buyer as well as potential sellers. A buyer could be completely out of the loop with the market and not understand why they aren’t getting any offers when they are trying to sell their print at £10k over market value. It also stops any potential buyers overpaying for a piece. In theory is should mean fairer prices for all….in reality it normally just results in hair pulling and name calling.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by Wanchope on Apr 28, 2022 20:42:50 GMT 1, I hear you, but anyone with a BANKSY would and easily could find out it’s worth within various online searches. It’s just the usual “that’s a low price it’s easily worth x amount” (an owner with a similar or same piece) or “that’s too high this one sold yesterday at auction …” (someone who is hoping to buy). It’s just so transparent and that’s why I say leave it alone as they will soon work out it’s true worth if they are truly motivated to sell. Also I must say if someone offers you or me above market value for something I’ll gladly take it as I’m sure 99% would( it happens sometimes and other times you get less than market value) we are all adults and can do our own research. Anyway that’s my take on it all.

Also being offered Paris Hilton cd, signed as Paris, excellent condition for £5k. Deal? If they're offering you a flag at 10k it's most likely fake. I would confide in someone you know that is familiar with banksy pieces, coa's, and confirm with pest control to ensure you're not being had. Paris Hilton CD's have also been faked and I wouldn't spend that kind of money on one unless you're really keen.

if it will stay with you 5 or 10 years you wont regret pay a little more

Paris cd from very reputable source.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by LJCal on Jul 1, 2022 23:19:57 GMT 1, I think £10k for flag without COA is about right for private sale in the current market and given the nonsense at PC, if you post some high res images and snap the blind stamp and numbering can be easily authenticated on here, all I would say is be prepared to wait a lonnng time for the certificate and get loads of bullshit from PC, they're a complete waste of time. Without the COA it will limit the avenues if you want to sell anytime soon and will of course hold back value as a lot of buyers are not confident authenticating Banksy prints. it's probably worth around £15-18k in current market with the COA although I'm sure plenty of people on here in full denial thinking it's still £25-30k. I also wouldn't be surprised to see these hammering between £8-10k before years out if things continue on their current trajectory, so it may be when the certificate does eventually show up the market would have moved against you.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by ohinever on Jul 2, 2022 8:01:29 GMT 1, Thank-you. As above seller states queued up in 2006, and this was not the print he originally wanted either. The Paris cd is via an art dealer friend who states source is impeccable. I'm not too worried about market direction next few years as this will be on my wall. I once knew an old woman who had an original Lowry hiding in plain sight by her front door (she had known him) and who told anyone who asked it was a fake. I liked her angle so much I thought I'd like to do similar one day. The Lowry was incredible by the way.

The Lowry was incredible by the way. given the condition issues it looks the part for sure, I think in that condition I'd be pretty reluctant, these are not easy to restore given the paper and the massive crease and finger prints are pretty material given they're slap bang in the middle of the image. I'd keep your powder dry and buy one in an auction in better condition with a COA, you may end up paying a little more but it will do better long term, I honestly believe these will be £10-15k at auction before the years out, I think even now you could end up around the £15k all in.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by ohinever on Jul 5, 2022 5:42:01 GMT 1, Hey thanks so much. Sorry, should have said, print has been framed and all smears, finger prints etc are on the glass, not the actual print. The crack in the glass doesn't appear to have damaged the print either (glass is raised a few mm from print). I've cleaned the glass up a bit! And I think the crease in the middle is just me reflecting in the glass.
