Harland Miller • Happiness The Case Against, by pressman on Apr 7, 2017 15:41:38 GMT 1, I thought A bit disappointing at first but seeing it framed, it looks absolutely brilliant! The colour of the background looks yellower/smokey than the photo on Manifold, which I like. Is that the case augustg?

Looks brilliant.

Harland Miller • Happiness The Case Against, by mawk on Apr 7, 2017 18:17:03 GMT 1, You can nearly get anything cheaper that Hang Up.. I bet The Me I never Knew take a leap upwards when they sell out at source and i thing other criteria only have one left which is framed so it was probably up on there wall. High on Hope for that money is crazy but then again so is the world...
I think there's slim pickings at source(s) these days. Other Criteria UK is sold out of Me I Never Knew, and if NYC location has one--it's probably the last one or two (at the last tier).
I think the only ones left at any original source are Rags (Cube) and On Me Not In Me (Criteria).
Does anyone else know of any others?
Overcoming Optimism still available at Ingleby gallery. 22 colour Screen-print. Currently £5400 inc VAT so, at that price maybe near or at the last tier price?

It's only been sold out for 2 hours - so I'd not get too excited

This forum has become too obsessed with momentary value imo. Somewhat flies in the face of the ethos of street art and graffiti. Nothing personal coopcoop. Your post just happened to epitomise that trend.

Looks fabulous mate. Quality framing choice. Beautiful print. What's the quality of the printing like in person? Classic Miller message.

If this release follows the usual format the gallery will now sell 10APs on a tiered basis - you could contact them & try buying one of those.....

What's the quality of the printing like in person? Classic Miller message. Thanks Coach The print quality is unlike any other that I have. You can see the layering of the 3 different processes which to me makes it appear more like an original. The geometric shape being the woodcut and pressed portion has slight imperfections inherent in the process which will ultimately give each print it's own unique fingerprint. There is a very slight color bleed throughout the shape giving it a hand painted feel.

I have no clue, I would imagine so. I own low 40s and have seen 2 price bumps since I purchased. Glad I got it when I did.

The wife hates white frames so mine will be wood grain look or even black frame. Ill post pictures when it arrives and I'm at the framers.

Harland Miller • Happiness The Case Against, by Ruggs on Apr 11, 2017 18:45:09 GMT 1, Publishers and galleries often know exactly what framing suits certain prints and originals. The one pictured above and augustg's recent aquisition are spot on in my book. Harland Millers work works perfectly well with very simple box frames.

Gallaries and publishers mainly use white frames because they are plain and generic, which is going to be more appealing to most when trying to sell the art inside. It's that simple. Framing should always comes down to personal preference, as at the end of the day you should be happy with it, although I do agree something simple is the best apprach here. Just not sure I'll do white. It doesn't look bad at all but I do not have a single white frame in all of my framed art.

I believe £9K + vat was the starting point.
