Pejac - Scattercrow print, by Deleted on Jul 16, 2017 21:39:28 GMT 1, ... I thought that all of the children had had their tea ... and gone off to bed ... at least to have a lie down ... ... are we taking sides in a school playground now ... ... that was not a question
was it rhetorical?

Pejac - Scattercrow print, by Lroy on Jul 16, 2017 21:49:04 GMT 1, Plus postage. You wanna medal? Well I know what I paid mate yes.. it was higher . This whole forum is full of jealous old men who think they should get a break.. then the sexy upstart smashes up the scene and the tears flow! I guess the people that actually matter can tell true passion.. #winner
Yesterday a guy spoke about Dran " that don't give a shit of us "', i can return the compliment to both of them, why to attack all a community, a forum, we have different personalities ? I can tell this again here : how are the old jealous men full of envy ?! Not me, who could afford to buy 2 or3 prints at 1 k in 15 days ?! Not me, I love art too, but no jealousy ( I don't work hard too but I am Very rich ) .

Pejac - Scattercrow print, by jbelleit on Jul 17, 2017 0:34:20 GMT 1, Thanks ass...I was just asking a question. I guess we shouldn't even have the entire forum since we all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that we should only buy what we individually like and everyone else's opinion iss**te. Thanks again for bringing the forum to a higher form of snobbery and elitism and a-hole-ishness.
oh...and I made sure to save for the Scattercrow that I was able to purchase a couple of days ago.

Pejac - Scattercrow print, by met on Jul 17, 2017 8:21:03 GMT 1, I've been in two minds about this release. Love the imagery, would have preferred the birds flying the other way like the original. Maybe Pejac didn't think about tackling the drawing of it in reverse with the tusche on the limestone (as all lithos / etchings etc have to be drawn backwards due to the pull being mirrored). Either way, it is still lovely and I love the message behind it. I don't think you can compare it with Eelus's work or any other artist using the transformation of birds for that matter. They're telling a completely different story. I think I'll be giving it a miss Friday though, I don't need another print for the wall and I'll let another collector have the opportunity to get one. By "the message", what message exactly?
It isn't certain or obvious for me.
In Pejac's case, there is likely to be a message โ perhaps even competing and conflicting messages โ which only he really knows about. Or maybe he isn't being prescriptive here. His intent might have been for the work to preserve some ambiguity, and remain open (including for himself) to multiple interpretations.
Separately, there will be the meaning or significance that you, me, and every other viewer attributes to the work. These readings are largely beyond the control of the artist. And they probably include many which he never even considered when creating the piece.

Pejac - Scattercrow print, by .dappy on Jul 19, 2017 0:02:19 GMT 1, ... I think the hand finishing is not so great on this one (although we have not seen it close up ) ... maybe if he had included some green plant shoots coming out of the ground, with the hand finished crows pecking at them?
... tbh I think this is his poorest image to date ...

I think the hand finishing is not so great on this one (although we have not seen it close up ) ... maybe if he had included some green plant shoots coming out of the ground, with the hand finished crows pecking at them? ... tbh I think this is his poorest image to date ... I also think the handfinishing leaves something to be desired; someone should be able to look at it and immediately notice the handfinishing, in my opinion - i don't really see that here. You more or less need both images side-by-side to spot the differences; at least I did.
Regarding the image, I honestly think this is his most wall-friendly print to date. That said, I'm still hoping that certain other images will become prints in the future. He's a great artist so it can be hard to be pleased when images are chosen for prints, since you know how many great ones he has in his back pocket.
