My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by Art Fan 2011 on Jul 26, 2017 14:52:14 GMT 1, Anyone had any contact as yet? I don't see any explanationfor the utter lack of contact over the past 2+weeks, no excuse for taking people's money and then going awol.
I for one will not stop until I get my money back, whatever it costs and however long it takes!

My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by gray on Jul 26, 2017 18:52:19 GMT 1, I heard back from my bank today having contacted them on saturday. They basically said that as I had authorised the payment they wouldn't be refunding me (as expected, no surprise). They have tried to recover the payment from the beneficiary,s account but couldn't and didn't go into further details on that. Suggested I get in touch with the police. I have avoided doing that so far as still finding it hard to believe, but that's what I'll be doing tomorrow if I don't hear any more.

My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by Jaylove on Jul 26, 2017 19:25:24 GMT 1, can PayPal even recover the money if it has been withdrawn? Pretty sure he took the steps to make sure the money is not recoverable.
Most bizarre scam I've ever seen.
Time to get police involved. Think we've been more than patient.

My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by mla on Jul 26, 2017 19:35:54 GMT 1, Paypal will refund you even if the seller has withdrawn the money from their Paypal account. The seller's account would then go negative and they would pursue whatever avenues they have to recover the funds from the seller.

My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by Dive Jedi on Jul 26, 2017 20:54:41 GMT 1, Ironicly he posted this in Jan 2014 : I deal and respond to upward of a hundred emails some days. All with different queries.
If there's a known problem which was supposedly a 'bank crash' (that's what I was told), just put a notice on your website. Job done. Leaving people in the dark and stating it's not your responsibility isn't the way to go. It makes people anxious and rightly so.

My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by avec art on Jul 27, 2017 22:17:36 GMT 1, I'm no expert, but from what I can see it doesn't look like a scam to me. I hope the seller is alright, you never know what life can throw up sometimes. As its been mentioned, pp payments will normally be reversed unless the seller can prove delivery. A scammer could always use a hacked paypal I guess, but it's unlikely. I think this is something else.

I'd tend to agree based on a lot of the info posted above and my initial dealings with Joe, but I keep coming back to the fact that I never received the parcel of stuff from the first batch of sales, despite me checking with RRR and him telling me that the tracking said 'in transit' - that was the last time I was able to have any comms with him. Either it's incredibly unlucky and the package was indeed lost in the post, or based on what has emerged over the last two weeks, he was buying time. He also clearly stated he was taking a day of work to package and post the second batch of items, yet it seems none of these (my own included) were ever received. I was in contact with him the weekend after the day he said he was taking off, and he did not mention that he'd had any issues posting that second item; on balance and based on the good comms up to then, I think he would have. So in the end I'm left with neither package - a little unlikely I think? The whole thing is nuts!

Same about the first sale...
Yes we never know what happens in life and I hope joe is safe But there are a lot of scenarios very unlikely to happen but : -Having huge huge debts and need "a trick" to pay it -the need to pay for medical care or something very very expensive...
At the time I really don't know if time will tell

What I don't understand why so many people's recommend hem in all those sales and after not one have deal with hem or have any information or address from hem.
I'm preparing my claim and he will be reported to the police in few days...

My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by cmc on Jul 28, 2017 1:50:47 GMT 1, I would advise anyone with any doubt that this is a scam to immediately start the process to get back their money. If it turns out to be a 'misunderstanding' at least you are covering yourself.
I work in an industry based on trust and giving goods on consignment is common. It is typical for someone trying to scam to spend years building up trust, buying small amounts and paying back. Developing a good relationship until they end up with a large amount of credit and then dissapear.
(i'm not a drug dealer by the way)

My huge sale thread (Invader, Dran, Dolk, Eelus, Zevs etc.), by Art Fan 2011 on Jul 28, 2017 12:58:00 GMT 1, Id run some checks on the company but it appears he has nothing to do with it, or atleast does not at the moment anyway. It seems he is quite a hard person to track down, but I am sure with us all trying our best to dig around something will come to light. Really need an address for him ideally. Having paid by PP gift (because I had purchased numerous items from him in the past without issue), my options are limited but do still have options nonetheless!
Is there anyway to start a private group so information can be shared without others reading it, incase the person in question does actually turn out to be a scammer? Probably best any useful information is kept to ourselves!
Still incredibly surprised we are having this issue, really do hope this turns out just to be an innocent mistake, but as times goes by I become more and more sceptical!
