Art On A Postcard, by joecool91 on Jul 16, 2017 19:45:30 GMT 1, I sent them an email back to confirm whether or not they meant 17 July and whether the "prints" they refer to are the raffle tickets.

Art On A Postcard, by Deleted on Jul 16, 2017 19:45:37 GMT 1, We are very happy to be able to offer another chance to own Harland Miller's Hate's Outta Date. Demand was unbelievably high for the print and we've received so many requests from people asking for APs that we haven't been able to answer everyone as we are such a small team. We have discussed what to do with Harland and he's very kindly made all five APs available to Art on a Postcard. We are therefore going to raffle them as we have no way of prioritising who should be allocated one. There will only 200 tickets available. They will cost ยฃ50 each with one available per person. Free tickets will go to numbers 31-40 who were in the overnight queue at Art Car Boot Fair as we appreciate their dedication. The book from the queue has been made available to us so if you were one these people please contact us at info@artonapostcard.com. The prints will be available on 16 July after 3pm and before 6pm. We will not give out an exact time to prevent the website from crashing. The prints are proofed and editioned at Jealous Print Studio. erm.... it doesn't even say if the raffle money is going to a charity smh Am i right in thinking the AP raffle tickets have gone already as the time has past? I only got the email from them at 19.36

Art On A Postcard, by coller on Jul 16, 2017 19:49:01 GMT 1, This honestly comes off a little weird, and unnecessarily so.
Why not just have 200 free tickets and then whoever gets picked can buy the print?
Instead, they've turned it into literal gambling lol

Which, in fairness to them, is a hell of a lot closer to market rate. Hopefully this is also for charity.

The liberty one was ยฃ5 each, and you got a normal size print if you won
Though these one are good for framing costs

Art On A Postcard, by Deleted on Jul 16, 2017 21:15:28 GMT 1, If there are 5 APs and 200 tickets then isn't it a 1/40 chance of winning and not 1/200? Either way, I'm not entering as the Boot Sale was very unsatisfactory; where did the missing 10 prints go?
I think that this might also break the law unless they are registered with a gambling license. It's the reason why when Ant & Dec do their competitions, in the small print there's always an option to enter for free by post. That gets around the gambling element. Caveating all of that with not being a lawyer, but I think that might be the case. If it is, they'll be on very shaky ground with the Charity Commission.

1. if you buy 5 tickets you have more than a 10% chance of winning one. not that bad..

Art On A Postcard, by maxamaxa2 on Jul 16, 2017 22:08:35 GMT 1, Sounds great to be honest. Nice way to get ยฃ10000 extra to charity and still quite a good chance for more people to get one, the speed in the webshop wont be as crucial as last time.
Regarding the print I cant other than love it as a collector! Its a full quality Harland print but it doesn't demand a huge wall and it doesn't cost ยฃ10 000 + even at resale. Makes me wanna start collect mini prints/canvases to be able to enjoy more pieces on my limited wall space

With 5 tickets you have a 3.94... ร 10^-8 % chance of winning all five (this is very small)

I've never known people wanting to break the balls of a charity before, only on UAA eh? Makes me wonder why certain people are obsessing about the Law, to be honest comes across as very bitter. As long as they have good intent, they are fine and haven't knowingly broken the law, thats how a judge would see it. I say good day to you Sir.
If there are 5 APs and 200 tickets then isn't it a 1/40 chance of winning and not 1/200? Either way, I'm not entering as the Boot Sale was very unsatisfactory; where did the missing 10 prints go? I think that this might also break the law unless they are registered with a gambling license. It's the reason why when Ant & Dec do their competitions, in the small print there's always an option to enter for free by post. That gets around the gambling element. Caveating all of that with not being a lawyer, but I think that might be the case. If it is, they'll be on very shaky ground with the Charity Commission.
