Sold - thanks for the harassment. Dumpster fire. , by streetartger on Aug 4, 2017 11:28:08 GMT 1, Actually, I think it is even "cheap" for a full set - I paid more for my full set (I have all 9)... especially "Tonight we Faile (AP)" ripped a big hole in my pockets, but ok, it's only 100 edition and when I think about the postage from all over the world, thats another story! Still happy to own all, still hope they stop at sometime... Wall space is running out...
Good luck with the sale! Hope they find a nice home!

Sold - thanks for the harassment. Dumpster fire. , by cmodart on Aug 4, 2017 13:34:13 GMT 1, On principal, I will not split. I will keep the set together. As mentioned above, it is difficult to buy each of these in good colors, reasonably priced, particularly including "tonight." Don't have the space at the moment, but I don't have to sell, so I will not split

Sold - thanks for the harassment. Dumpster fire. , by streetartger on Aug 14, 2017 7:27:01 GMT 1, Well... 1,300$ realized on eBay... didn't see that coming. Actually shocking to see that this complete set went even below cost when bought directly from FAILE. Reminder to myself: never sell the complete set on eBay... rather split it up. I guess "Tonight" alone should be easy 500$. The others 250$ minimum... Sorry, cmodart, I hoped you get more for your set - would've deserved it - the time alone getting the set together should not be forgotten.

Sold - thanks for the harassment. Dumpster fire. , by Reptile 072 on Aug 14, 2017 7:39:21 GMT 1, Unfortunately, the low sale price has more to do with the lack of keywords than anything else. If you relist this as a set, I would recommend putting a title or two for the more popular prints, such as Tonight We Launch or Heartbreak in Brookyln. The word "print" would've helped, too. Either way, splitting these up should net you more $. Good luck.

Sold - thanks for the harassment. Dumpster fire. , by cmodart on Aug 14, 2017 13:21:15 GMT 1, The auction ran on the eBay, and honestly, I forgot to check up on it until it was finished. When I did, I saw the low price and also checked my messages. I had three separate messages from people who declined to participate because of the global shipping program. I did not understand the implications of this at time of listing, so I canceled the sale. I'm not going to sell the set for half my cost on a technicality. I agree with someone above that said the lack of keywords probably hurt
Multiple fouls on me... it is what it is.

Sold - thanks for the harassment. Dumpster fire. , by streetartger on Aug 14, 2017 13:25:44 GMT 1, I hope you can get out of this... when it is an auction and there is a buyer... Not easy to get out of this if you are located in good old Germany. Wish you all the best - I can totally understand your position, but if you auction the set of with NO reserve and you even forgot to check it up - well we call it "Lehrgeld" in German. Basically means - you paid for the knowledge you have now.

The global shipping program is a giant hinderance. I do not bid on anything that uses that. If you didn't have it you would have for sure had higher bids.
But this is why you set a reserve just in case.
Lesson learned I guess. We all end up having to learn the hard way one way or another.

your opinion is noted. The unanticipated negative consequence of the global shipping program heavily influenced the outcome. Had I understood this, I would not have agreed to the terms. There is a disparity between damages for consummating the sale or not. The buyer spent a little time to proffer a bid, and no money changed hands. Little ventured, little lost. The seller loses $1300 plus fees, on the other hand. This is tantamount to the dozen times I've had someone on the forum agree to buy a piece of art and never pay.
Had I accept money, I would've shipped the art. This is my last comment on the subject.

It is indeed a nuisance as they usually open packages/tubes and manipulate the stuff (I've had bad experiences before with this shit service). never really understood why sellers would use it

I refuse to believe you would have shipped it if you had received the money. I would bet money on the fact that you would have refunded the payment and then cancelled. in case anyone's wondering the auction was cancelled within 2 hours after end of auction
the reason buyers buy on ebay is the chance to potentially get a good deal whether it be from people not doing auctions with good keywords or other bidders not getting bids in on time. you can use the example of buyers backing out but I look at it more like why not honor the auction, so you lost some money. If the auction would have ended at $3500 it's not like you would have refunded them $700 since it's more than your asking price here

It defeats the purpose of e bay if people can cancel because they didn't get the price they wanted. You have the option to set a reserve or just do buy it now. Surely you understood you could get less than you wanted if you did a no reserve auction. I have a feeling you know how it works. I genuinely feel bad for the person that won.

send me the money and I'll send you the prints to if you're going to whine. I offered squarely on here. A bunch of moaning and pissing about price and 2 members trying to buy then going silent. The money isn't my bother, it's getting screwed down by eBay unknowingly, which several posters have corroborated. Shipping is $100 flat to whatever rock you're on. These people with 2 dozen posts tossing stones...... this forum has soured for sure.

You listed the item without a reserve, accepted the terms of the auction, it ran the course, and then you decided you didn't like the price. Too bad for the buyer, I guess.

tullyart โข yes this peice is still available - will take a reasonble offer ?
reg โข Would love to know what comes first though, the canvas or the idea. He could have waited years for a canvas like this to appear.
reg โข Think you're joining too many dots tbh. More likely a stoneage man using 21st century methods to put back the damage done by the modern custodians of the planet.
Jeezuz Jones Snr โข I created a thread called 'Art market current prices'? Can anyone see it? I can only see it when logged in. Silky deleted it?
