Urban Art - Who to collect or not!, by tab1 on May 20, 2019 23:09:05 GMT 1, sales. I think urban art in general has had it's best years financially and is becoming less fashionable regarding the mid priced art thats sold in galleries today. [
Agree less of a buzz with new releases and less hype created , new releases 2 years back 5 -15 pages of discussion , people asking for print check out buddies, posts after sales asking for buyers remorse etc to sell. Less build up to a print release , again hardly any interest . Sales board , any time a banksy would be for sale 5 pages or more of discussion .any time gp prints would do a release a mini forum meltdown. Just think the rise in prices at source and editions at now 200-300 for main editions plus all other edition of aps,pps a print run could be 400 or more prints where as many of these artists use to have runs of 30-100 prints previously .

In general across the board of artists , even new unknown artists used to create a buzz of excitement

Urban Art - Who to collect or not!, by Express Post on May 21, 2019 2:41:08 GMT 1, I think there is still a lot of discussions. It is spread over whatsapp groups, ig, fb groups, discord groups. Online forums no longer the one stop destination.

Urban Art - Who to collect or not!, by pellets on Jun 25, 2019 15:17:06 GMT 1, Ive read through this whole thread and there was some interesting discussion back in 2017 of whether Harland Millerโs market would collapse.
I note there are are currently 240 pieces by HM listed on Artsy. Anyone got any views on this? Is it a bad sign that there are so many people willing to part with their pieces? Or is it a good sign that the market is so strong people are willing to sell because prices are so strong?
(I don't own any HM and Iโm not making any comments about the quality or longevity of his work; just curious to hear what people think about art markets)

Kinda like there are 1700 pcs listed for Damien Hirst or 1600 for Banksy.

This also includes pieces currently at his Hong Kong show. There are only a few duplicate pieces so its overall fairly well balanced and doesn't seem unpeculiar to me for an artist of his status.
