LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by Runit on Dec 14, 2019 20:24:46 GMT 1, Do your homework and don’t assume an Instagram feed with Banksy pieces equates to due diligence. It doesn’t. Don’t assume a box frame with a thin rebate width should cost the earth. Good luck.

IMO collection and delivery from MFM is a massive plus. I am too busy to piss away hours of my weekend dropping things off and collecting them. 🤦

LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by marquis on Sept 14, 2020 11:35:13 GMT 1, I'll be taking a Banksy print to Graham Bignell's studio for restoration, after which I plan to have it framed. I see that Bignell also offers framing, so it would make life easy to have it framed there too.
Has anyone had anything framed at Bignell? How do you think the quality compares to say, Pauli Frames or Mister Frame Man? And the cost?
Cheers!

Pauli Frames has always done great work with high value Banksy's including originals, used to do most of LAZ Inc's framing as well.

LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by spanksy on Mar 18, 2021 16:22:03 GMT 1, Need to get some pieces framed. It’s been a while and just moved to Wimbledon / Wandsworth area. Not looking to frame anything too high end so a decent place with good prices. Is mister frameman still around? Any suggestions? (Ideally someone who collects and delivers)
Also someone with experience of the art we all buy...framing
Welcome mat Hirst heart / fruitful Micallef study of an embrace Few other pieces...
Also welcome some images for inspo?

LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by param1 on Aug 21, 2021 13:24:27 GMT 1, I'm looking for a good framer in West London. Also, what type of prices should I be anticipating for a piece around 60cm by 100cm? I'm not looking for anything elaborate, would be good to get an idea of cost estimates.
Thanks

LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by John The Badgers on Aug 21, 2021 18:40:25 GMT 1, Not West London based param1, but Mister Frame Man who is based in Norwich regularly collects from London I believe? If not, their shipping via Fragilistics bullet proof.
A lot of people on here use him, I personally use them (and miles away), and would certainly recommend, a great outfit to deal with.
Pricewise, all really how you spec it, type of glass etc, but I'm pretty sure you will find someone out of West London a lot more cost effective?
If you want any contact details, just let me know.

He works a lot with collectors and for Christie’s auctions, so definitely knows how to handle valuable pieces (in case you need any reassurance)

LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by John The Badgers on Aug 24, 2021 18:44:48 GMT 1, Thanks for those place, very useful! And what type of prices should I be expecting? You really need to contact any of the above with what you want param1, prices really do vary as to what you want, and how you spec it.
I have cheapish 'posters' framed properly where I didn't want to spend too much, MFM sorted it with more off the shelf profiles as such, and was quite cost effective.
Other bits wanted the full shedazzle, Museum Glass etc, obviously you pay more.
Contact Gary, tell him you have been recommended via UAA, and I'm sure he will assist and quote - he's a nice fella.

The choices for what the forum will automatically edit are dubious at best.

LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by Atelier on Sept 14, 2023 0:48:54 GMT 1, I'm getting a few pieces framed. "Frame London" seemed good quality but very overpriced.
Are there any equivalent high quality London Framers to this standard but not as crazy with prices?
Thanks!

LONDON Framers • Who do you Recommend? , by abstrakted on Oct 29, 2023 14:56:50 GMT 1, Bumping with pretty much the same question as the post above.
I'll be taking a few pieces to Jackson and Lee Framing — they did incredible work for me years ago and I'm willing to pay the price for these pieces.
But I have a bunch of cheaper artworks that I'd like to get framed on more of a budget. Anyone? Please don't say IKEA Thank you
