New Pose release "Riot" presale, by kuni on Aug 14, 2018 12:53:53 GMT 1, Like this one. Donโt love it but I feel like his work is continually evolving and heโs still finding his groove. If I didnโt already have a handful of his prints on the wall Iโd pick one up. But alas...

New Pose release "Riot" presale, by J0NNY on Aug 14, 2018 13:00:38 GMT 1, I like this one, itโs actually the first one in a while from Pose that would actually make the wall. I do think Iโm one of the minority who prefers his images without the people in them. Iโm tempted but Iโm trying to clear out prints at the moment.

New Pose release "Riot" presale, by kwatis on Aug 14, 2018 13:27:59 GMT 1, I am a huge fan of POSE's work, especially his object-based images. So this one is definitely ace in my book. Personally I'd love to see him revisit his car crash paintings as prints. That being said, I'm sure that he has moved past that body of work. The recent experiments with texture have definitely caught my eye too.

New Pose release "Riot" presale, by Rouen Cathedral on Aug 14, 2018 13:58:47 GMT 1, I tend to prefer his figure works. Although some if the recent ones haven't been as strong so it makes to go with object based.

That's not the reason for many. The reason is that they offer first to long term clients/repeat buyers and I would guess they would be somewhat selective in who they offer, that's if they care about a long term career, last thing they should want is half the ed ending up on eBay. It's protecting the market, for both the artist and the buyers. Doesn't help you too much FR.

This email goes out to everyone / anyone who asks regardless of previous purchase (I am on the list, I get emails about prints / HPMs / OGs, yet have never bought anything or even tried to do so)
FR is spot on, this is just a lame gimmick

Actually, not true... You must be lucky. I've been on the mailing list forever, as has my wife and several friends. I received a link only once, my wife never, and 1 friend one time. And we've all purchased in the past. Definitely not a given. This has been discussed here in the past that it feels very randomized
Regardless.. I'd rather this than the typical other gallery bullshit with 75 of 100 prints held for "vip", and then we fight for 25 prints online and bots get 20 of em for resellers. .

I wasn't talking specifically about this artist, I was replying to reasoning for presale.

New Pose release "Riot" presale, by Hairbland on Aug 14, 2018 16:01:05 GMT 1, We don't really like anything any artist does, from pricing to their websites to their galleries to their lack of resale value, do we?
Even that Banksy guy sucks now, no inspiration, hype, why doesn't he just take a sh*t so we can finally get a print, even though the lottery will be rigged.

yes demand a refund via Payal. Dear Paypal I bought a ****** print for a hundred squids and I could not flip it. Therefor I demand a reimbursment from Paypal for 200 squids a sitem not as described.
Anyway what happened to that huge stockpile of Stik prints ?

He had an excellent area in Beyond the Streets, and I believe he's doing the next to 2 cities .. also a recent corporate deal that was big in Chicago...
While I totally agree, he still manages to have a huge backlog for originals, and a very busy studio

New Pose release "Riot" presale, by Express Post on Aug 15, 2018 0:51:36 GMT 1, For his career's sake more exhibitions means people will get to see his work instead of on ig.
He puts up good installations irl. Just needs more gallery shows to showcase his works.

Just out of curiosity - May I ask you why you care about artists doing more exhibition? More exhibition means more visibility, which may lead to higher demand and potentially higher prices so ... less affordable?
The more people like the art and can afford it (vs just an investment) the better, isn't it?

New Pose release "Riot" presale, by Express Post on Aug 16, 2018 2:51:46 GMT 1, Exhibitions gives the artist a goal to put together a show.
Exhibitions gives the artist an opportunity to showcase their work and increase their exposure and keep them relevant. The tangible experience of visiting a gallery to view the work is more valuable than the intangible experience of browsing a website. If that were the case, the artist might as well create digital art so that we can look at our monitors and screens.
As for pricing, demand will determine this. In the interest of the artist, why would you want an artist to sacrifice their exposure and relevance to keep their art accessible? Will you be taking care of the artist if they fall sick, or pay off their mortgage?
