12 DAYS OF XMAS - BRISTOL 7th - 22nd DECEMBER, by johnas on Dec 8, 2007 0:47:20 GMT 1, Oh s**t! I thought they would be too heavy to take out without being noticed. Couldn't tie them down. Hopefully they can move them nearer the sales desk. Thanks for letting me know.
don't worry! Mr Aitch was on them in a flash ;D ;D

12 DAYS OF XMAS - BRISTOL 7th - 22nd DECEMBER, by printsimon on Dec 8, 2007 1:09:16 GMT 1, You better beleive it, left room and saw very out of it guy in corner in extremely obscure camouflage jacket..........virtually by the time I got to "checking in desk" they were off and at him, ushered out beautifully........this is the way security should work particularily without the use of cameras

12 DAYS OF XMAS - BRISTOL 7th - 22nd DECEMBER, by gerry on Dec 8, 2007 1:17:55 GMT 1, Well back now too from post pub show stuff. Properly brillliant night, seems my photos have turned out shit, which is dull, but going back tomorrow. But gonna try and blog my experience of it tonight, and do the proper photos thing tomorrrow.
Got a new Xenz too... :-)

12 DAYS OF XMAS - BRISTOL 7th - 22nd DECEMBER, by romanywg on Dec 8, 2007 1:25:14 GMT 1, I was really switched on by Xenz' work. Especially as I spent sometime in his cell interviewing him and filming him working on those paintings. It was great to watch them evolve.

12 DAYS OF XMAS - BRISTOL 7th - 22nd DECEMBER, by misteraitch on Dec 9, 2007 15:15:43 GMT 1, Just got back home from the show and I wanted to express a massive thanks to Mike, Stef, Jonno, Lucy, and the guy from Art Space (whose name eludes me at this moment) for putting on a blinder of a show.
Thanks to all of the forum members who stopped to say hello - it was a pleasure to meet you all.
And as for the cattled youth who tried to steal romanywgs piece - it wasn't me who herded him out - that accolade goes to Bash (another top bloke) I was keeping an eye out for him but he beat me to it.
As for future exhibitions - I'd say the bar has definitely been lifted ;D ;D ;D

12 DAYS OF XMAS - BRISTOL 7th - 22nd DECEMBER, by azlan on Dec 10, 2007 9:52:32 GMT 1, Popped down to the show on Saturday... thought on the whole it was excellent!! Fantastic idea in a fantastic space. Hats off to Mike (Art-el) and everyone else involved. Had a really nice chat with the main man and walked happily away with the Guy Denning print of the Clifton Suspension Bridge "Despite Nature". (Now I've moved away from my beloved Bristol I realise what a big part that landmark and its surroundings plays).
Would have loved to have bought all the Xenz originals - thought they were as beautiful as ever. Couldn't help raising a smile looking at Mau Mau's work. (Believe he really wanted to put some 'proper' plants in that cell)... Superb seeing Mr Jago's work again... his new print on Let Them Hang really is almost as good as the original (well someone did assist in it's creation)...
Saw plenty of work from new comers, that for me out shone most of the usual art crowd. In particular, Richt and even Cyclops who's work completely changed my view of him (in a positive way!). Ghostboy's cheeky addition in the car park is worth a look, and made me chuckle (so I parked the car over it!) - lol
I think Nick Walker's attitude best summed up the event when Mike told me he was like a kid in a candy shop running around spraying up the place.
PS: Check Ziml's work at the bottom of the stairs by the cells... helped him with some "interesting" photography (of which he's unfortunately only diplayed one from the whole series...)
PPS: Don't forget to check the Let Them Hang room...
PPPS: Get your photo taken next to the height chart... can never have enough Usual Suspect poses!
