They’re asking for $27k. Not providing council to them on price or seeking to debate here, just relaying the expectations. That’s the price. Happy to facilitate and get photos for serious buyers.
Thanks!

Tell them to take it to auction/ebay, we don't need more flippers here.

Jonas Wood Shelf Life , by Winter on Sept 23, 2019 7:32:04 GMT 1, It was released nearly a year ago, is that considered a ‘flip’? I don’t have a problem with the way it’s been put on here, I would say $27k is too high and it’s nearer $22-23k.

From now on anything I want to flip on here, I will use the "friend" card.

You’re getting too far out in the weeds on this. Perhaps they’re an older person that isn’t fond of using computers. Perhaps they’re busy. Perhaps they want some distance and a filter to make sure they aren’t being approached by low ballers or from those with insincere interest. I’d guess that knowing them it’s a combo of the above and a few added variables. In either case that isn’t your business to know. That’s up to them. They asked me if I would help them and I said yes. It’s as simple as that. I’m not calling them an asshole for asking for help. Again, everything has been laid out plainly. The price. If you want to view it, the general area where it can be done. That I am happy to facilitate. That I am not clear to release their private email openly in this thread or via PM. That any talking will be done through me. It’s not that complicated. If you have the money and interest, cool. If not, that’s fine too. But with these kinds of reactions, I’d never give you their direct email so you could harass them.

They were aware of them when they asked. I don’t get the frostiness. Plenty of people on here have made a work available for someone they know. With all the toxicity going on and hate for my trying to help someone, I can see why they wouldn’t want to come here. It isn’t because they’re an asshole, it’s because of the assholes on here trolling the threads and projecting things that aren’t there in the first place. I don’t blame them. Maybe when the forum cheers up a little more people will come here directly.

Weren’t people selling their Harland Miller Tonight We Make History much earlier than this? Not seeing so many haters there. Why unspool the thread? If they don’t want to buy, why get nasty? Why not just jog on?

The hostility you're feeling is due to 2 things. 1. Simply saying it's from a "Friend". It may be true, but it sets off alarm bells around here. 2. That you say the buyer will be dealing with you and not the seller. Again, alarm bells for various reasons of transparency (not to mention future provenance of such a valuable piece, paper trail of owners, etc). Will the buyer at least be paying the seller directly?
Just trying to help you here!

Jonas Wood Shelf Life , by Express Post on Sept 23, 2019 14:12:10 GMT 1, Like I said, they want to get a result, but are unwilling to take the journey. Also like wanting the gold medal but won't do the training. Want the scholarship but won't do the homework. Max return of the resell, but zero of the lifting. Just an observation.
There's always a forum "tax" when you resell artwork on here. Nothing personal, just the way it is. If people want to avoid all that, no one is making them sell on here.

Just trying to help you here! To answer your question, yes. They will be paying the owner directly and they have their receipts from the publisher. I’m not an escrow service with regards to money. I’m also not adding any fee. It was a genuine ask for help from a friend. I don’t charge my friends when they ask me for help. I just help. Regardless of the activity. Again, they merely asked if I would help them, so I came here as a courtesy to give people a chance to go private and buy if they wanted. It seems like the majority of the replies here are hostile. This is a friend and I’m sorry but if this is the attitude and immaturity in the replies, I am not motivated in any way to expose them to that. They just have a print they want to sell. They needn’t be hassled or harassed by forum members who don’t have money to buy.
