BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by iamzero on Oct 17, 2019 17:12:41 GMT 1, People thinking they wont check same IP's are extremely out of touch with how easy it is to see duplicate IP address orders on the store side of ifi?. In fact a ton of galleries use this same method to catch people purchasing duplicates and refunding. Not sure why anyone would think the IP address isn't checked.
What about when you use a smart phone using mobile data or public WiFi?

IP - not unique, especially in the workplace or mobile networks Post Code - not unique Names - nah, no chance Email Address - everyone has 2/3 these days if not more.
But running a search/pivot table on all the elements - will take seconds and eliminate scores of people

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Oct 17, 2019 17:16:49 GMT 1, So...2 people from my work went for a Banksy piece...does that mean one of us will be disqualified because it's the same URL? If its the same IP them yes. Check your ip on your machine and your colleagues. Search for public ip and itll tell you This would be crazy. Over here all Vodafone users country wide have the same IP.
Of course I ordered from my phone, as I was in the train when the shop finally opened...

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by irl1 on Oct 17, 2019 17:18:38 GMT 1, only one entry for one item per address Then why not just use one entry per household? By adding per person ahead of per household it sounds like each person that is part of a household can register which is what we did. A few people are mixing up "per" with "and" here is the words of the terms.......
Multiple applications are not permitted; only one application can be made "per person" "and per household". You must complete the application yourself. It must not be automatically generated by a computer or completed by a third party.
You must be aged 18 or over to register your interest.
This means only one person in any household can apply. ---------------------------------------------------------------
The "and per household" should really read like this
Only one application per household, but as its Banksy there will always be something you will miss. If you both put in one each i would cancel one if i were you otherwise both of you are out.

In this case, yes, your cell phone IP can be traced and even, located exactly on the map if someone has advanced technologies and network algorithms.
Not only can they track your phones IP, they can track your location off it lol

Also, why shouldn't anyone with a credit card that matches their name (to avoid fake names) be allowed to buy? You can have multiple art collectors in the same household.
It's a fairly pointless extra rule, and has caused more confusion than anything!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by glap86 on Oct 17, 2019 17:29:43 GMT 1, I'm so confused why people are struggling with the one per person and per household concept. So, one per person is just that. It's very clear. It means both I and my husband can enter once. One per household, also clear. It means entry per address. It means either I or my husband can enter at this address once. When you combine them what does it mean? Does it mean only one person can enter at one address? Isn't that what once per household means? Or does it mean that each person at an address can enter once? Truthfully I am still not sure what it means and don't know if my husband and I have been disqualified for each entering once at the same address. You can't enter more than once with the same address.
You can't enter more than once with the same name.
You and your husband are likely going to be disqualified for entering in the same household (violating the one per household part of the rule) if Banksy sticks to his guns.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by pfffffffffft on Oct 17, 2019 17:40:01 GMT 1, When you combine them what does it mean? When you combine them it means: 1. One and only one person can apply, one time only, from your address. Either you or your husband - or your evil work colleague who decided to ‘borrow’ your address for the purpose. 2. You and your husband can each apply once, for one item only, - but you must do so with two different addresses. i.e. if you apply using your address, your husband must use a different address. And you should also each apply using a different IP address. 3. If you really want to respect the spirit of the endeavour, only one of you should apply because you both belong to the same household and Banksy has asked you not to do that. Ah darn it. Then they should have just used once per household. We're out then. That stinks but I understand the spirit of the rule.

A few people are mixing up "per" with "and" here is the words of the terms....... Multiple applications are not permitted; only one application can be made "per person" "and per household". If you both put in one each i would cancel one if i were you otherwise both of you are out. Correct. The language is confusing. Clarifying language would have helped. I didn't even think about cancelling, thank you!
I will ask my husband to cancel his. I have a very low order number so I'd like to keep mine just because it was in the first few hundred not that it will matter.
Has anyone had any luck canceling?
