BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by wentos on Oct 22, 2019 12:29:13 GMT 1, I managed to get a mat from Love Welcomes and have also used the exact same details, from the exact same computer, on the exact same internet, with the exact same delivery address on the GDP store to order something else.
It is so exciting to wait to see what will happen...whether I will fail to get something from GDP due to my double order or whether I fail due to the other quarter of a million orders.
Whatever happens, I will keep you all informed.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by withnail69 on Oct 22, 2019 12:30:04 GMT 1, I do not understand how people are paying £2000 + on the mats when they are unlimited or at least whilst the shop is open and open to everyone to order , maybe if they continue to sell at these levels they could copy gp prints and release at eBay prices , more going to the worthwhile charity cause Being a new release they / buyers must of done some background research to see if genuine and if so discovered the official website ? Aannnnd read they can still buy at source .. think banksy releases have caused people to lose the ability to read ?! be useful if there was a 9 month wait and you had to pay now. People should not be flipping a unlimited mat. Of course its limited. Its made from refugees lifejackets. Probably takes ages

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by glap86 on Oct 22, 2019 12:34:46 GMT 1, I just can’t imagine the mat, sold on a separate site for charity, will count as the one. Not only would Banksy and co need to cross reference order data with another site, it would potentially have depressed charitable giving.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by drip on Oct 22, 2019 12:53:00 GMT 1, So why up the COA to two years? My impression was not many sales ends changed hands with the 1 year. Do you think banksy saw otherwise? He's just trying to help people out. Imagine if you're some nanna that's just purchased a Banksy stab vest, and they're like 'HOLY SHEEEEEEEEEEEET! I'VE HIT THE MOTHERTRUCKING JACKPOT! Annnnnnnnnnnnnd sell!'
And like Banksy's all like 'Calm down madam. Don't sell right away. Take stock of the situation, don't do anything rash, like taking the first, second, third, fourth or even fifth offer. Just wait and you'll make a lot more in 2 years time. And in the mean time, while you're living with it, you might form an unbreakable bond with it, decide you can't possibly let it go, and ultimately be buried with it. Your family in absolute bits at your funeral, weeping as they see (through your windowed casket) the valuable artwork being lowered into the nether region of the Earth.'
And she's like 'Cheers Banksy!'
Then Banksy gets on his motorcycle and rides to the next address on his list, like the littlest artist hobo.

I much preferred your..........
It's gonna be *so* much fun, trying to work out who won what. I bet someone's nan will win a stab vest and keep it. People thrusting money at her in the street, and she's just flashing them the V's. The art-loving grandson crying his eyes out. Good times.
Followed by...... She'll just be wearing it shopping at Tesco
Well I'll tell you a little true story..... Being that I, our household could only make an application for one purchase from GDP and have still not managed to get any of Banksy's work in around 20 years, either through missing out or being skint I decided to ask my daughter who lives in London (not with us) to go on the GDP site. Asked her if she would buy on our behalf from her place etc and we would pay if she was successful, therefore doubling our chances. Even asked her if she didn't mind applying for us. Discussed buying the thrower and off she went to make a purchase. Gets back to me later and says no problem but I went for the stab vest because it mean't more to me because I saw Stormzy in it at Glastonbury. Great, back down to virtually no chance and if she gets that, I'll never see it and she'll probably expect me to buy it!
The morale is, stick by the rules and don't trust your friends or family.

I know how this works.
I like to think that most of us are trying to acquire things that mean something to us. Even if it just amuses us. That'd be a great Christmas* dinner - your daughter sitting there at the table, wearing her stab vest.
*If you celebrate it. Other special days are available.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Dive Jedi on Oct 22, 2019 15:55:00 GMT 1, So why up the COA to two years? My impression was not many sales ends changed hands with the 1 year. Do you think banksy saw otherwise? He's just trying to help people out. Imagine if you're some nanna that's just purchased a Banksy stab vest, and they're like 'HOLY SHEEEEEEEEEEEET! I'VE HIT THE MOTHERTRUCKING JACKPOT! Annnnnnnnnnnnnd sell!' And like Banksy's all like 'Calm down madam. Your family in absolute bits at your funeral, weeping as they see (through your windowed casket) the valuable artwork being lowered into the nether region of the Earth.' And she's like 'Cheers Banksy!' Then Banksy gets on his motorcycle and rides to the next address on his list, like the littlest artist hobo. You could sell it without COA. And apply for COA anyway. That will involve some trust. Or more cash....
Being cremated in your Banksy Stab Vest does sound hardcore though.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Greg on Oct 22, 2019 17:19:11 GMT 1, I'd presume after the entry deadline on 28th... Notifications for what? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say I don’t think there will even be 500 of these. Be prepared for a disappointing retail experience Well I have applied for 2 unlimited items (two different addresses), so I am hopeful of of nabbing at least one...
But after reading the terms and seeing they will only pick out applications between certain dates and times picked by a third party. My hopes vanished again

But after reading the terms and seeing they will only pick out applications between certain dates and times picked by a third party. My hopes vanished again

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by gibbin82 on Oct 22, 2019 17:44:58 GMT 1, Speaking of notifications: Did anyone elso not get a confirmation mail with order number? Not suggesting this is the case with this one. But has anybody on here tried submitting another order from the same i.p. address and only received the confirmation email for the first order.
Step 1 of the order process specifies “Our system automatically removes orders from duplicate IP addresses“, so does that mean the second order is refused, or both are?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by brazzy on Oct 22, 2019 18:31:58 GMT 1, So why up the COA to two years? My impression was not many sales ends changed hands with the 1 year. Do you think banksy saw otherwise? I kind of wish he would extend it to 5 years or more on the prints. It's basically charity that he's giving these away at a fraction of their real value, He should insist that you have to hold on to it for a bit before you make an easy $100k+ on the thrower prints.

I got 5 confirmations, but first does not mean anything. I think quotes about art will give multiple scissors ✂️ In the applications ( To win or not Banksy art )

This sentiment kind of says he should just sell to rich collectors then.
It’s a very complicated issue and I’m not sure he’s found the right answer as it has a lot of reasonable points on both sides.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Dive Jedi on Oct 22, 2019 19:37:33 GMT 1, I try to keep up with this thread, but I'm afraid I haven't read everything. So excuse me if this has been debated already.
I have seen pages and pages with question about IP-adresses, entries, when the shop will open, close and send notifications. And how others will flip items.
In the past there has been wondered many times if Banksy will ever release a print again. Mostly the conclusion was "probably not" due to chaotic previous releases.
So now here we are ; a whole shop full with goodies ! ! !
And what I think is of the utmost awesomeness ; for incredible prices. We all know he could sell those pieces for a LOT more. But he didn't. 10 pounds for a can - 500 for a police helmet. That's just amazing, right ? That Banksquiat print would sell out in 0.03 seconds when priced at GBP 5.000 or probably even at 10K. And here we have the opportunity to possibly buy one for 500 quid !! And some guy or gal in Wisconsin, Wales or Winschoten will receive a massive box with an OG bullet proof vest after paying GBP 850. Surely they could have sold that for a mega plurality of that. (I know that's not an actual word)
And he's raising a sh!tload of money for a charity. It seems we all feel very entitled to buy something, but Banksy owes us absolutely nothing.
So let's enjoy this ride. Everybody best of luck and I hope Xmast comes early for all of us.
