BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by pfffffffffft on Feb 10, 2020 22:38:44 GMT 1, Them numbers don't add up 🤣 Cards said 250 grey 250 black Total 500. 150 of each was available on first round. Meaning 200 left, 100 of black, 100 of grey. But...the guys are saying theirs is numbered from an edition of 300... black. That's where I'm confused. The edition should be xx/250 for each colour. Unless something else is happening. 🤔😫 That is correct unless they just made more.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Fish on Feb 10, 2020 23:03:56 GMT 1, Evening Guys Do you have any good recommendations for framing?Im wanting someone to make it identical to the shop frames. I’m currently checking my emails every 20 mins I was lucky enough to get a thrower. No delivery news yet. I’m more excited than my wedding day.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Rouen Cathedral on Feb 10, 2020 23:08:44 GMT 1, WHAT ?! They changed the edition size without notification ?! I'm cancelling my order right now ! ! ! Oh, wait….. What are you getting at? Im just asking the question 😊, I haven't won for a start. If I did I wouldnt give a sh*t about the edition number 🤣. Im trying to figure out if there is an extra 100 of each variant or not which may or may not be in a round 2.
Just an extra 50 of each priced to the Uber rich!

Just kidding.
It appears the edition is 300 each now. Which is a bit odd indeed. Maybe it was a mistake on the card. Or they decided to make a couple extra....

Must be an error on the card, hopefully theres more to come either way.

I try my best to avoid being merked. It happens on rare occassions... "still".

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Feb 11, 2020 1:45:02 GMT 1, Does anyone want to hazard a guess at the number of Throwers that will be produced?
The show card stated simply "from an edition" if memory serves, but I can't remember what was listed on the website.

It said 100 were available on the website, I'm not sure about the edition number.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by sm on Feb 11, 2020 8:51:32 GMT 1, I didn’t receive any email from the shipping company, as I also won this one. Did everyone else that won this also get contacted by Art Logistics on Friday as well or maybe waiting like I am? Are they spread across different days? Banksquiat (black) arrived this morning. Received email last week from shipping company asking to confirm details. Arrived next working day (today). Flat packed, not rolled. Signed lower right, edition number (x/300) lower left with POW stamp. Printed on black paper that seems a good bit thicker than other Banksy prints. Won't be removing from packaging any further until I get it to the framers so can't confirm too much else right now.
I got an email about delivery but it went to my junk mail so only noticed it today. Once I replied they said I’d receive the print tomorrow.

If you were trying to buy one now you'd be buying without the Pest Control COA, which won't be given for two years. You'd also run the risk you wouldn't be given the COA in two years, since the delay is intended to stop people flipping them.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by withnail69 on Feb 11, 2020 11:56:59 GMT 1, It looks like I'm going to have to get another hobby Monday-Thursday. For the last three months my hobby has been checking my email on the hour every hour. 🤣🤣 well that seems to be the case so far. And also only to the ones in the UK. I think. I'm not sure if anyone abroad has received their items. Still no doormats

A nice statement in the context of the Basquiat show at the Barbican, but as a print on the wall at home, not so much.

A nice statement in the context of the Basquiat show at the Barbican, but as a print on the wall at home, not so much. I love it (I may be biased as I have one coming, today hopefully). It's not just about Basquiat. It's also about art as entertainment. Art is becoming a theme park ride - look at how we all talk about GDP and how we queued up to gawp at the works in the windows - and we all want our go on it. Also about how the same ideas go round and round. It's Banksy gently taking the piss out of himself, for being part of that 'art as entertainment' world and recycling Basquiat, and the people who line up to watch him do it. It's in the same vein as 'Morons'.

The more I look the more I tend to agree. I think a lot of people are into it because it was the option for a ‘banksy print’. Other GDP pieces are much more successful as art but the idea of receiving a banksy print overrules.
