Not yet a far as I know, I’m still waiting on a Banksquiat.
Will be worth the wait I’m sure!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by mgrizz on May 21, 2020 8:19:25 GMT 1, Had the clock delivered last week, absolutely love it. It has surpassed my expectations of the size and the quality!
Been quite challenging to find someone who can fit circular UV/museum glass however. I've tried all of the top framers in town and even contacted businesses interstate. Second option is to frame the entire clock in UV Perspex and then mount that. The upside to that is, the clock will remain 100% original and still be protected from the sunlight.
Anyone had luck sourcing circular UV glass?

Instruction that came with them say to replace the glass with museum glass. I agree though, just frame as it is with museum glass. Don't forget to hang a Specsavers sign on the opposite wall though for the full GDP effect.

Great idea. I am leaning towards framing it as is. Just went for replacing the glass as the first option as instructed

However if you frame it how one will be able to change the batteries? Anyway I would also go this way. More effective protection wise and OK I definitely consider it more of an artwork than a clock! In case you put a frame make sure no batteries are left inside 😁

Ah, good point! I suppose you could have some sort of hinged cut-out on the backing board. Unfortunately it's not something I need to worry about😕

It will be right twice a day.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by casual on May 21, 2020 16:26:55 GMT 1, I think it’s very difficult to even begin pricing the obscure items from GPD. People can’t even agree on a rough value of the Banksquiat and that’s a bread and butter print, the other upcycled household items in GPD could range massively in price from eachother. I’ve experienced this when trying to get my MetBall valued for insurance purposes, there’s nothing to base a value on for them apparently and I’ve heard other lucky winners on here struggle too for that exact reason (the Duck & Cover winner had his item valued at £100 for insurance purposes for example). Thankfully value doesn’t matter to me, I’m just happy to have it! It’s interesting to watch the speculation on the items though, especially the guy trying to make the Banksquiat value rocket haha. Where are the pictures of the Met Ball in action? We still are in a kind of lockdown and pictures of a party, beer, music and a Babksy Met Ball would help us!! Pleeeeaseeee
Disappointingly it’s not hanging up pride of place yet! My plan was to have it hidden away (I haven’t told anyone about winning it apart from the Mrs & this forum) then have it at my wedding during the first dance in June, thought it would a great first outing for it so would have been worth the wait. We’ve just found out the weddings postponed for a year due to COVID so that plans scrapped & I’m now finding the best place for it at home. I plan to have a big party when it’s up with photos included trust me!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Graham H on May 21, 2020 18:00:49 GMT 1, The value of the piece should matter..what if it gets stolen or knocked off the shelf / ceiling in a drunken accident?
I appreciate its a great thing to have, and value is something that doesnt matter for you, but, its a serious amount of money to just disappear in some way or another.
Maybe im just risk averse..
being an edition of only 25 I can see the price in the range of 80-120 k, not sure it is the most sought after piece of the GDP collection. BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Grillocracy on May 21, 2020 18:30:02 GMT 1, didn't know there will be a "next round". There will be. Give them time. I hope so. They seem to have ramped up again with all of the recent shipments. That said, this recent reply I got from them left me feeling that it won't happen, primarily because they chose to only bold the word "if". They also use "if" again very precisely in the last sentence. But I am likely over analyzing the words they selected to use:
FROM GDP:
"All previous applicants were added to a mailing list and will be informed if more items become available.
If you were not able to register first time round, you will have the opportunity to do so in the future; if new items become available on the website."

Therefor I conclude, based upon my observation, that they mean "when" where they use "if".

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on May 21, 2020 20:39:56 GMT 1, My opinion... there will not be a second round, all remaining "stock" will be sold via Bbay.
Also my opinion... all the Throwers will come framed, and will not be prints but editioned originals, hence the amazing level of detail each one will exhibit.
So there you go.... lol

Regarding the framing how can you be so sure? in previous post have been said that the ones from GDP lottery will not be framed, as written everywhere in GDP site

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by patriarch on May 23, 2020 12:25:49 GMT 1, But shipping was not that cheap for the thrower. Someone in this thread said it was about 120£ or so Banksquiat 110£. Really think it will be framed?? I would be glad for you, folks, but I’m afraid it won’t be... Ah ok. Probably not framed then...

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by The Italian One on May 23, 2020 13:37:41 GMT 1, My opinion... there will not be a second round, all remaining "stock" will be sold via Bbay. Also my opinion... all the Throwers will come framed, and will not be prints but editioned originals, hence the amazing level of detail each one will exhibit. So there you go.... lol Pretty sure GDP Thrower 1st batch is edition of 100 only. Not framed. These are quite sizable so framing would add excessive cost to the end product for shipping / courier purposes through Flight Logistics. For now, we wait. ed of 300 framed
