Haven Gallery is pleased to present "Fins, Feathers & Fangs", a collection of new paintings by Omar Rayyan. Rayyan's works is known for its consummate painting techniques harking back to the old masters juxtaposed with contemporary wit and whim. Mythological characters, woodland creatures, fashionable socialites, curious children and Rayyan's famous beasts take the stage in playful compositions that evoke a sense of wonder and humor.

'Ritual', Beautiful Bizarre Magazine's second curated exhibition at Haven Gallery in New York, brings together over 50 of the world's best two and three dimensional artists, whom have explored the theme 'Ritual' through their own unique styles, genres and mediums.
Life is embedded with Rituals. They nurture us and improve us. Rituals are an action or ceremony performed in a customary way. Be it religious or personal, rituals give our lives meaning. Without them we would be floating through life with nothing to tie us down, or to expand us to the people we can become.
'Ritual' will also showcase the work of the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize 2019 winners, in each of the four Award categories: INPRNT Traditional Art Award, Stocksy United Photography Award, Sculpture Award, Digital Art Award and of course our overall 1st Prize Winner. As a leader and advocate for the arts, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine champions emerging and mid-career artists. In the 6 years since our launch, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine has proudly become a voice, a tribe, and a platform for creatives whose work doesn't always fit neatly into the traditional fine art "box". In keeping with our mission, the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize seeks to inspire creatives from around the world to pursue a life and career in the arts, and to help careers grow through our exposure of their work.
The Winners of the 2019 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize will also be presented their specially commissioned glass art Award sculptures at the special opening reception on 14 December.
The Beautiful Bizarre Magazine Co-Founders Danijela Krha Purssey and Richard Purssey are flying in from Australia to attend the opening, as are a number of the artists and Art Prize winners. We would love to see you there!

Danijela Krha Purssey is an entrepreneur, and the Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of Australian based international contemporary art magazine, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine.
She is deeply passionate and committed to her vision to help shift the paradigm in the global contemporary arts industry regarding what is defined and accepted as contemporary art.
Danijela has created a carefully curated, unique contemporary arts experience via all the Beautiful Bizarre Magazine touch points that inspires and champions emerging and mid-career creatives both locally and around the world. Proudly, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine has inspired creatives to pursue a life and career in the arts, and helped artistsโ careers grow through Beautiful Bizarre Magazineโs exposure of their work.
Danijela founded Beautiful Bizarre Magazine in 2013 with her husband, Richard Purssey. In the 6 years since the launch of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine she has released 27 issues, published over 2,000 web articles, launched the interactive digital magazine, curated 9 successful exhibitions in 4 countries, launched the international Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize which celebrates excellence in the representational visual arts, in all mediums and genres from realism and hyper-realism, to pop surrealism and lowbrow, and shared the work of countless creatives from all corners of the globe.
Danijela has forged global connections with artists, collectors, gallery owners and their communities to further her vision for the new contemporary art scene and to help galleries and creatives thrive. The Beautiful Bizarre Magazine social media platforms have grown to over 980,000 followers.
In late 2016 Danijela was awarded the prestigious AMP Foundation โTomorrow Makersโ Award, & grant funding to expand Beautiful Bizarre Magazine.
