Bonham's Pop X Culture October 8, by Pipes on Oct 8, 2020 18:22:08 GMT 1, Sales Ends V2 was about £51.5k all done v £46.9k Christies but less than Sothebys at £56.7k. Both were in September. Is ARR and VAT added on top of the price on the Bonhams site?
Just curious how it goes from £47k to £51.5k

All alongside a Banksy canvas!

Bonham's Pop X Culture October 8, by Deleted on Oct 8, 2020 19:01:21 GMT 1, I’d say very strong results Banksy wise for an auction this poor..
You would think most of the big hitters wouldn’t have bothered with an auction with supreme water bottles in. What were they thinking

Bonham's Pop X Culture October 8, by JFCC on Oct 8, 2020 21:39:35 GMT 1, The September Trolleys sale at Christies was an AP, AP2 to be exact from 8 I think. If you believe that the AP's are more collectable (not AP/DNs) then you would exclude it from the comparison as the Banksy Value site does. The previous Trolleys sale at Christies was £40k, although it is not the full price as it excludes ARR, which was in August which is directly comparable. Personally I exclude the APs, PPs and AP/DN from comparitors.

Bonham's Pop X Culture October 8, by JFCC on Oct 8, 2020 21:44:18 GMT 1, To get the full price, take the hammer price then add the buyers premium of 25% + VAT which makes it is 30% (above £300k this falls to 20% + VAT) and then add ARR which is 4% of the hammer price up to £50k. For Sothebys they now add an extra admin 1% fee on top which is a bit of a liberty.
