However, these are taken from Hirstโs own 1000 Currency tenders which have now been burned if Iโm not mistaken.
And Iโm sure I remember reading that they are higher res than the high-res file that Currency owners could download prior to burning. So perhaps image quality would be compromised if you tried to do something similar yourself.
Looking forward to seeing some framed examples soon.
Pretty sure that these will be in high demand at auction over the next few years. Iโm planning on keeping mine though.

I get your point; itโs an original vs a print, but the UP is much larger and a run of only 1000. Iโm with you though in that I always view originals as more valuable than prints. That being said, for those that plan on framing and hanging, the print may be a much more powerful piece on the wall than a Currency original. |

So not a copy of something another buyer has. I am amazed the first one sold on Catawiki for 8k which isn't far off the originals. To it's credit it's bigger and lower numbers. I guess that's what drives the market. Plus great quality - large zoom. It's also a play on the existing project i.e. originals, nft of original, print edition. Fascinating. Just shocked its that much. Guess we find out with subsequent auctions if it holds that relative value.

Cheers I emailed them yesterday as it had been over 4 weeks since I returned mine. โStill in productionโ and they couldnโt say when they will be delivered. But the 6 weeks initially communicated looks doubtful. |
