Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by lukas01 on Sept 29, 2023 14:01:25 GMT 1, 3 prints left and 2 OG oils Print now Sold Out, couple of oils left. From Street Art to Impressionism. I have a vague feeling that just to have a Banksy brand, people would buy a Banksy Excalibur sword or a medieval catapult with the Banksy logo embossed in iron and fire. The compass broke.

The catapult is now military archaeology.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Jules Leotard on Oct 8, 2023 7:20:39 GMT 1, In regard to "Where next?" for the Cut and Run Exhibition, I haven't noticed anyone mentioning that Banksy's PR agent is currently in NYC. I realize she is there for another artist, but could do/ see it as a two-fer (scouting location in tandem with supporting another artist). Brooklyn here it comes?

At this point, if art is to play a role in people's lives and history, the next exhibition should be organized in Bethlehem.
It would serve to destabilize terrorism and remove them from the front pages of newspapers.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by Superfuzz bigmuff on Oct 8, 2023 10:15:25 GMT 1, Anyone know the full story behind the Herald photo editions? Have seen a couple pop up on eBay and sell quickly but not many. This is the one I picked up - just the small size. Went for a pic of the piece I enjoyed the most. Did many people get one of these in the end? I have seen 4, I think, sell on eBay but expected to see more.

It would serve to destabilize terrorism and remove them from the front pages of newspapers. Nothing bad, but you always think small. Imagine how the first newspapers would open if Stik, Banksy, Pahnl, Invader, Obey, Thierry Noir, Bambi and others started creating art and exhibitions in that territory? What would happen?
If you don't enter the time and mental space of a strange character like me, you can't even imagine what my thoughts could be on art in people's lives and history.
Some time ago I proposed to Stik and others to decorate the 19th century galleons with their art, to make them sail with the wind on the Mediterranean against the war in Ukraine and against the exploitation of people and territories in Africa (which then generate immigration ).
Art and imagination are very different from art and investing.
I'm closer to the mentality of many artists. Artists are strange sometimes.
However I like that image, but Munch's scream would definitely have given something more to the scene.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying (which is odd because I was reading it), but I fear you might be overestimating the healing power of stencil art just a tad. Just a tad.
A smidge.
But I genuinely love the optimistic sentiment and enthusiasm.
Edit: Actually, this reminds me. Awhile ago I had this thought that, if someone covered themselves in babies, like, strapped babies all over themselves, they could probably just walk into any parliament building. I don't know where you would get the babies from, but it is a thought.

I don't know where you would get the babies from, but it is a thought. Yes, perhaps I am in some ways optimistic, and I try to see it differently. But I am of the opinion that art has immense power and can move consciences.
Artists should be much more united. Not only with artistic collaborations and not only territorially.
Obviously mine is just a utopian vision of the art world and the world in general.
But man, how wonderful it would be if that happened.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by PC Baby on Dec 12, 2023 20:03:43 GMT 1, I missed out on these Tees at the Cut & Run Gift Shop (because they only became available after my visit). When I got in touch with MV Louise Michel directly, they didn't stock them, so I made a donation to them anyway, which they gratefully accepted - I'm yet to receive a donation receipt, though...

good luck to you and happy holidays to all

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by inefficiencyof on Jan 18, 2024 17:22:14 GMT 1, Sorry to bring up an old thread, I’ve tried searching but can’t find any answers. Did anyone get their bag framed 🤦🏻♂️.
I’ve seen examples of the try frame like a canvas. Which I think looks neat and the route is like to take. The question is… how did your framer approach it? did they unstitch the whole thing? Did they unstitch just the handles? Neither and just stretched it over a board? Or something else?
Any ribs or examples would be great.
