Burning Bridges opens this Friday!, by pezlow on Jun 13, 2008 9:35:21 GMT 1, What about Ethos? I like him so much! And waiting for the new exhibit in studiocromie at the end of june... any pics? Good vibrations from the brazilian?
There were only a couple of ethos pieces in the show but they are AMAZING - all done with a bic byro. Don't have pics I am afraid.

Burning Bridges opens this Friday!, by funster on Jun 13, 2008 9:41:45 GMT 1, Had a great night last night and it was really good to put some faces to names too For me I really liked the Alexandros work and seeing how much herakut's work is coming on - nicely complemented by a good priced print from both artists.

Burning Bridges opens this Friday!, by danvnuk on Jun 13, 2008 9:53:32 GMT 1, Had a really good night (as evidenced by me once again falling asleep on the train, and waking up at the end of the line)
Funnily enough the one piece of art that really stood out for me was the Herakut print (v.unusual for a print to catch my eye in a room packed with original work) Is such a great image, and was extremely well done.... loads and loads of other stuff to peruse - but was too packed and I was too steaming drunk to take it all in. I think this would benefit from another viewing.
Was a nice atmosphere which had spilled outside onto Brick Lane- loads and loads of regular bods from both forums. Great stuff.
As always, really nice show Frankie.

Burning Bridges opens this Friday!, by Grafter on Jun 13, 2008 10:13:00 GMT 1, Wicked, Wicked, Wicked....Night
Loads of great stuff...As already said the Herakut pieces shone out.The print is exceptional and the two large originals are probably amongst the most evocative pieces I've seen in a long, long time. Simply awesome.
Other stuff that impressed was the Chase pieces. Don't know a lot about the guy and the large piece at the bottom of the stairs did look like Alan Hansen on acid, but they were well executed and the 2 smaller bits on card were great.
Matt Smalls dogs looked nice and i'm always impressed by the sheer amount of paint he manages to build up without the whole lot falling off. Adds great texture and feel to his stuff. Nice one Fella. (Likes a beer too) ;D
Biggest shout out has to go to Frankie though. His shows continue to get better and better and he manages to create a superb chilled out atmosphere and vibe to the whole thing that is a pleasure to witness . There are many, many other promoters out there who would do well to take a few lessons in how to manage sales without being a pest from old Frankie Boy. Well done, My Son.... Look forward to the next one.

I would blame Matt Small for that

Burning Bridges opens this Friday!, by Art-el on Jun 13, 2008 11:52:01 GMT 1, From what I hear it was a blinding night
My Brother who is the London based (opening night gimp) has reported that he bumped into a number of you reprobates and had a great night.
He bought couple of Cum pieces I think. I was over the moon that he decided to give me the lowdown at midnight, drunk as the lord!!
SO who has photo's & what did you think of the work by Mr Jago?

Pretty pricey for the Cum* pieces. I think the small wooden stuff started at ยฃ280.
I like their work too. Gone are the days when I sent them 30 euros in cash for 2 originals and some hand screened stickers.
Good show... Great beer.

Burning Bridges opens this Friday!, by danvnuk on Jun 13, 2008 12:16:42 GMT 1, I feel like a pig shat in my head!
What time did you fellas leave the Punch and Judy?
I just - and I mean just made the last train (via McDonalds and a couple of cheeky Double Cheeseburgers - standard pished up staggering through the city food)
Fell asleep on the train and woke up near the end of the line (I always do it)
Ended up staggering around a deserted Essex Seaside resort at 2am tryin to remember a cab number.
Nice to put some faces to names (Alsbabar, Manchester Mike, Graeme and Grafter) and also nice that I finally got Hipart Gallerys name right (albeit on the second attempt and after months of blank looks and mental gymnastics) - no idea what's going on there - mental block!!
Ive got a couple of pics I'll stick up later when I get home from work.

Burning Bridges opens this Friday!, by timba82 on Jun 13, 2008 16:48:08 GMT 1, i popped in there this afternoon and really liked what i saw.... the best stuff in there for me was the hera drawings (directly on your right when walking in). really really amamzing stuff she did. the best one out of the lot had to be the dog holding the ice creams. loved it.
the matt small dog pieces were up to his usuall brilliant standard. god i would love to own one of his originals.....and Frankie gave me a good idea of how to frame one if i did ever lay my hands on one! they looked the biz!
the mr jago vanvas (near the back next to the matt small pieces) was sooo good.
gotta say that i prefered cyclops' stuff at the leonard street gallery show. but still really liked his stuff.
all in all it was a good mooch around. shame pretty much everything was sold out - not that i had the money anyways ;-)
wicked show....spot on
