Outside / Inside @ Carmichael Gallery, by mainartery on Mar 3, 2008 0:41:15 GMT 1, See my order would be Faile, Gossel, Hush, Cept. I am also a big Manga, Anime fan so there my problem lies. Personally I would much prefer to look at a Hush than a small black cross on a postcard drawn by one of a very important artists assistants. But as you say, whatever floats your boat.
I think my order would be Faile, Hush, Cept and Gosel.
All of them are very different though, well maybe apart from Gosel, but i'm sure he would admit that he just re-does failes works to sell. IMO

Outside / Inside @ Carmichael Gallery, by pezlow on Mar 3, 2008 10:27:46 GMT 1, Just been intouch with Hush today and previewed a few of his huge new pieces that he's doing for his London show. I've got a funny feeling a few people might be eating their own words from what i seen.
I certainly hope so as he seems like a really nice guy and I'm certainly prepared to keep an open mind about him.
I'm not sure how this debate crossed over to discussing the ripped posters and collage work of Villeglรฉ and Rotella (whose work I can assure you I am fully familiar with).
To make it clear I wasn't comparing Hush with Faile for these reasons (does hush do that much collage work anyway?)
It was more the subject matter of the work where I saw the comparison. If you look at this piece for example
www.opusunderground.com/artists/Hush/1351
You have a limited edition print in an edition of 15. Hand finished in with acrylic paint. Both in subject matter and in medium to my mind there are obvious comparators.
But maybe that is just me. Good luck to hush - I hope he does well.

Outside / Inside @ Carmichael Gallery, by donkeydaddy on Mar 3, 2008 23:36:18 GMT 1, are the koukoudakis pieces still available?
I just spoke with Seth and they had a great opening night. Adam's pieces have all gone apart from the Blue and Lime Kidz on cardboard and the Rozzer canvas. This gallery is really starting to get on the map when it comes to putting on shows...bigger and better all the time. Check out the flickr on the website for pics that Elisa faithfully uploaded until 6am UK time this morning...and some brilliant images from Nick Walker's recent sold out show (wish I'd been there for that, in my opinion his best collection to date).
