The Lazarides Extravaganza (Shut Down Show), by fatherxmas on Oct 19, 2008 14:19:27 GMT 1, Wow – what a fantastic place to spend an evening. Many thanks to the crew at Laz’s for a fantastic show…. this is what I can share about the night – although I am sorry to say I left to early to see the dancers and foolishly failed to take enough pictures (blackberry quality too!) The Banksy Top Room (Normally, only available to view by appointment – but open for the preview night) Wow – there must have been about (edit, about 25/30 I would say) original Banksy canvases Highlights for me where: - *Di Faced Tenner Briefcase – loaded with Tenner’s. So cool, but a £350,000 I felt a little bit sick. The Tenners are so realistic and each bundle had a little hand written B on them. I am sure one of the guys thought we where planning to slip one of the £10 notes out – although we weren’t. But I did touch one! *Original Stop & Search canvas - about 2 ½ metres by 2 ½ - Looked great close up. *Bomb middle England from Dreweatts auction for £200,000! *Banksy print rack – great to see the AP J&J in pink, some amazing old signed prints (Golf Sale etc) and 3 new prints I have never seen before – editions of 15 each – showing single photographic images of some of Banksy’s work on the Palestine Wall Hidden away in the office was a massive Faile canvas (as shown with Wizbong’s last post and the following….. *Green Peace advert – double sided with a hand painted copy on the other side. The quality was stunning and in wow pink. I think this was £250,000 framed – the guy said it’s a double sided glass frame with clip on the side to allow you to swap it over when you wish – although why you would have the printed side on display – I don’t know. *Kate Moss in a frame – first one I have seen – so looked great. So much other stuff – so much so I am still buzzing now and felt totally honoured to be at the show! I could go on as there was so much to see. Hope you like the very limited pictures.. Many thanks to all that made it possible for me to attend. DA
3rd picture who its by and how much rather funny

The Lazarides Extravaganza (Shut Down Show), by They call me Stephen on Oct 19, 2008 14:20:53 GMT 1, Are you joking?? Banksy, greenpeace advert although i've never seen that colourway before.
I'm sure Steve Laz is in a comfortable enough position now where he can demand ridiculous prices for Banksy’s, keeping hold of them for as long as he needs to without worrying.
Ultimately he is a collector in a very fortunate position…he represents the artist! I’m sure he’s keeping enough back incase Banksy’s profile and prices continue to rise throughout his lifetime, he’d be silly not too! No wonder he’s buying back lots of the artist’s work at auctions.

The Lazarides Extravaganza (Shut Down Show), by alsbabar on Oct 19, 2008 14:24:19 GMT 1, there isnt anything new here frankie - 99.9% of all pieces at his show were for sale before - they (lazinc) never really opened the top floor for all to see before.
He also has a lot of other artist pieces that were for sale!!!

I wonder how much cash you'd have to flash in order to be invited up to the Banksy vaults normally??

Well they are asking 200k for the Tescos so if that don't scare you off I'm sure the door will be wide open for discussions.
