Please Clairify Applause Editions, by lrworld on Jul 6, 2007 18:04:55 GMT 1, Can someone please clarify the Applause editions for me. Were 500 unsigned prints released from both POW and LA? For a total of 1000?
Does this apply to Grannies too? For instance, are there 150 signed Grannies from POW and 150 Grannies from LA for 300 total?
Thanks!

Please Clairify Applause Editions, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:17:48 GMT 1, 500 unsigned altogether plus 150 signed.
of the 500 unsigned, 400 have a POW stamp and were sold direct from POW, the other 100 were sold at the LA show and are unstamped and differ in appearance slightly by being darker.
The same applys to Grannies except the appearance is uniform.

Please Clairify Applause Editions, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:22:00 GMT 1, As for numbering the unsigned that sold at LA are roughly in the 50-150 so the POW editions are roughly in the number 1-49 and then 151-500 range.
There were no Signed available from LA so all the Signed prints have the POW stamp (except PP's and possibly APs)

Please Clairify Applause Editions, by lrworld on Jul 6, 2007 18:31:03 GMT 1, That makes perfect sense. So no difference in value? I think I would go for a POW just for the stamp unless you had good provenance....

Please Clairify Applause Editions, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:36:48 GMT 1, There is a slight change for Morons in that the 100 that were sold at LA had a gold frame around the painting with the words "I don't believe you morons buy this shit" and that all the extra 300 signed sepia prints came from POW.
Also the future release of Trolley Hunters from POW will have more colour in it than the 100 sold in LA, although it's not clear if they'll be an extra edition like the sepia morons were.

Please Clairify Applause Editions, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:40:53 GMT 1, I'm not sure about values, I guess they're the same, but bear in mind if you're in the UK and buying an LA print from the US you'll end up paying VAT and Duty on import so sometimes they can go cheaper if they're being sold from the US.
