2009 @ the Baurmann Gallery...., by Baurmann Gallery on Jan 13, 2009 16:24:48 GMT 1, I hope everyone had a great holiday and is having a very positive 2009 so far. My utmost thanks to everyone who supported my gallery endeavors so far (either through purchasing editions and artwork posting or emailing kind words and/or posting or emailing kind words). Just an FYI, sometime later today at a random time I will be posting a link w/ a special purchase opportunity from my archives @ their original release price on this thread. Please note, the quantities will be VERY limited (w/ only 1 available of each offered edition and on a first come first serve basis). There will be 3-4 prints offered, each being from my archives (i.e 1 each of the David and Goliath, Cultivate Love, D5 & Rain Proof Dance editions). I ALWAYS try to say thank you to my supporters and I can’t express how much I appreciate the support I always receive on here. I also sent out an email to all of my supporters and collectors as well with additional extremely special offers. If you had ordered something from myself this year and not received the email, please check the email account associated w/ your PayPal! Please also see below for a more detailed info on partially what is in store for 2009!!! My apologies for the lack of frequent postings lately but I have been diligently working hard getting all of the below projects organized and ready for 2009. If you are interested, the below charities will be the focus and benefactors of many of the projects of the Baurmann Gallery in 2009. Long story short, I am going to use the proceeds from my archives to fund limited editions/artwork, which will then have 100 % of profits donated to a specific cause. If you have any direct project s you think I would be interested in exploring further, I would appreciate you sending them over to info@baurmanngallery.com. If you are interested in supporting the charity projects, please visit the below link to purchase an edition or learn more about the upcoming projects. To reiterate, 100 % of the sale price (of the below link) will go to fund the upcoming print projects and other artwork endeavors of the Baurmann Foundation (which is being set up). www.baurmanngallery.com/purchase-happyholidays-09-CHARITY Here are the charities/causes I have been impressed with so far:
Providing these special stoves to Darfur, thus reducing greatly the amount of time needed by women (due to reducing the fuel needed by 75%) from having to venture out and collect fuel, which often leads to rape, torture, mutilation and/or killing.
www.darfurstoves.org/
Saving girls from indentured servitude (as basically their families are so poor that they must send their young daughters off to work in the cities to bring money for the family). Instead of sending them off, their families are given a goat or something to make the same income they would have and the girl is also given an education & chance at life.
app.etapestry.com/hosted/NepaleseYouthOpportunityFou/OnlineDonation.html www.nyof.org/programs/indentured1.html
Funding microloan projects to help individuals seeking agricultural & other business ventures to improve their life (and their families), especially widows & projects to help children. Once the microloan is=2 0repaid, repeat the cycle & keep using the money to hopefully give life-changing opportunities.
www.kiva.org
Provide immunizations (against deadly diseases) to villages for children & expecting mothers in India & Africa to save thousands of lives.
www.sevamandir.org/contribute.htm
In Africa, feed as many villages as possible of 100 people for a year (to also save as many lives as possible due to malnutrition).
donate.fmsc.org/SSLPage.aspx?pid=191
Provide important, vital basic needs like heath clinics, schools, wells w/ clean water, teachers & supplies for the most hard-pressed villages. Also, build homes for orphans, women & other people in serious need (such as disabled).
www.chfinternational.org/donate
Provide the technology for villagers to create and sustain20their own industries and vocations from giving them the tools and resources to establish their own economic opportunities, using special tools and inventions. There have been some amazing inventions specifically targeted to helping poor villagers and farmers (in rural areas especially) to help them that will be provided, through groups working with specific villages in most need.
secure.fullbellyproject.org/cc_donate.php www.kickstart.org/products/design-criteria/
Provide farm animals, farming supplies & tools, seeds, mosquito nets, clothing, and other basic essential supplies that families need on a daily basis to survive and live. Gifts like the farm animals in particular will provide a lasting opportunity (such as milk, wool, selling the offspring or eggs).

Set up & pay for either legal defense funds or the creation of legal defenders in order to take on the cases of those being oppressed worldwide, especially in developing nations and China.
