I managed to get to the preview last night, and I have to say that it is stunning. Im not going to throw any pics up but if you have been thinking about this show then, really you have to check it out. They have done a stunning job. Easily the best show of the year. Well done to all concerned.

CRIMES OF PASSION - Street Art in Bristol, by Art-el on Mar 19, 2009 15:53:40 GMT 1, Is there anything else going on in Bristol this weekend worth seeing - make a full weekend of it? (Art or music related) Believe me, everything will be an anti climax after the RWA. Check the Arnolfiini, and maybe the Long Arm Gallery if the Cept show. Be sure to come down to St Paul's to check out the vibrant street scene and a few remaining Banksy's and be sure to come see the '69' Group show at the new Wilder Gallery @ 131-133 Wilder Street. artelgallery.wordpress.com/Drop us a line if there's anything else
Forgot Mudwig's minimal but magical 'Popeye, 2 prozzies and a portion of chips' show at the delightful Friend & Co gallery. 8 The Promenade, Gloucester Road.
Peace

Some of my favourites are the RichT and andy council but there are many more! I will post some pics up but not until the official opening.
Well done to Lucie, Jono, FLX, the Artists, the RWA and everyone else involved!

CRIMES OF PASSION - Street Art in Bristol, by Steal From Work on Mar 19, 2009 18:10:39 GMT 1, Do you still have to pay the entry fee on the Friday? Sorry, can't see it on the invite...
Definitely FREE on the Friday opening night.
To be honest I'm gutted that the RWA have to charge normally, I firmly believe art should be free for all to look at, we did apply to the Arts Council for funding so they wouldn't need to charge at all for this show but the Arts Council weren't very interested in this show, guess they don't think this kind of art needs supporting!

CRIMES OF PASSION - Street Art in Bristol, by mred on Mar 20, 2009 23:20:14 GMT 1, Weeble agree about the Dan piece awesome and really fits well in its position in the gallery.
Show mental with queues all over the place, even queued to get out!!!! That said show looks great with a brilliant vibe although bit too old for all those break dancers.

CRIMES OF PASSION - Street Art in Bristol, by moonstomp on Mar 29, 2009 11:00:03 GMT 1, Anyone know who made a small toy sat on top of a power socket, sort of red and orange dragon with a mouth open housing a tiny white cat with a love heart on? Just wondering like as underneath it had the words "finders keepers"

Jono and me found this little critter there and had no idea where it was from. We liked it in it's random way and decided to leave it there for someone to perhaps take home and keep.

Dude, I knew you were in Brighton, but I also know what a passion you have. Jump the train as you'll regret not getting to this one If AT ALL possible.
Your parcel goes out tomorrow, enjoy.

CRIMES OF PASSION - Street Art in Bristol, by weeble on Apr 4, 2009 18:43:16 GMT 1, Yeha thought the same - best graff show I think I've ever seen. So well presented. Here's another by Acerone. Thought it looked pretty dynamic - colours really strong! Cool combining the canvasses into the mural.
