New Streetopoly Print, by Prescription Art on Mar 31, 2009 11:42:54 GMT 1,
Larger Version: www.flickr.com/photos/prescriptionart/3401430346/sizes/o/
Zeus has produced a 2009 version of 'Streetopoly', with new artists and a lovely distressed background.
This is being released jointly by Prescription Art and Urban Angel in an edition of 100.
It's a giclee print measuring 70x70cm, and is covered with a layer of varnish.. with added spot varnishes on the coloured squares.
It'll be available to purchase online from both Prescription Art and Urban Angel on Friday 10th April costing £150, however both Andrew and myself are taking pre-orders before then.
Zeus is currently working on a show overseas (of which you'll be hearing more), so we have to wait for him to get back before releasing it.
People visiting the Urban Angel '2000AD' show this weekend (4th / 5th April) can see the print and get a £10 discount on the full purchase price.
Otherwise if you are interested in purchasing a copy, please contact:
james at prescriptionart.com
or
sales at urbanangel.com

New Streetopoly Print, by Daniel Silk on Mar 31, 2009 11:49:14 GMT 1, Nice! ;D Yeah, I think I prefer this to the old version. Looks like its got lots of character, and would look good in a slick white frame.
Be interesting to see some close up photos, to see the detail

Didn't some of the artists themselves choose which 'property' they wanted to be?

New Streetopoly Print, by Prescription Art on Mar 31, 2009 12:31:22 GMT 1, Thanks for the comments..! Regarding the placing of the artists, it's not supposed to be a statement about who's the most popular / expensive. As in real life it can be quite random.

New Streetopoly Print, by urbanangel on Mar 31, 2009 12:36:30 GMT 1, Other than Banksy, Zeus and EINE (Old version), which are placed in specific places, the rest are purely random. It's kind of a play on how artists are popular one minute and not so popular the next. It has no reflection on Zeus' personal view or mine or James.
As i say, with the exception of the 3 above, they have been randomly placed and the artists that have been dropped isn't an indication of them not being 'hot' anymore...there's only so many placed on the board and to add new artists, he had to remove some of the old ones.
It shouldn't be taken too seriously, it's just a snapshot of the current scene in general and the inclusion of people like Posterboy, etc is quite clever IMO.
It's a great looking print though and one both myself and James are proud to have been involved in.
Printed by hardwood Kings for those that know them. Seriosuly expensive, but seriously quality printing:)

LOL
It was because of Dan Baldwin that we used those printers:)
I was saying to James that the best quality prints i have ever owned were the Baldwin ones done by them. james handled it as he's now based in Brighton, so it worked out quite well:)

New Streetopoly Print, by Prescription Art on Apr 29, 2009 16:11:37 GMT 1, There was a bit of a delay getting these prints ready, but we're really pleased with how they turned out. The varnishes really enhance it. If anyone thinks that giclee is a cheap option - you're wrong!!
www.prescriptionart.com/prescription-art/zeus/streetopoly-2009/prod_367.html
The last streetopoly items we're making available are the individual squares from this new board. Though they're again painted on wood, Zeus has created an amazing concrete-look effect. Once again the price you pay for the piece is the price the artist costs on the board.
A real bargain for one-off pieces by Zeus. They're not online yet, so please contact me if you're interested.
Prices: Zeus - SOLD Nick Walker - SOLD JR - £100 Ron English - SOLD Swoon - SOLD L'Atlas - £140 Judith Supine - SOLD Herakut - £160 Poster Boy - £180 Hush - £180 Mr Brainwash - SOLD Adam Neate - £220 Os Gemeos - £220 Futura - £240 Vhils - £260 Inkie - £260 Eine - £280 Sweet Toof - £300 Banksy - £300 Kaws - £320 Shepard Fairey - £350 Faile - £400

New Streetopoly Print, by Prescription Art on Apr 30, 2009 17:53:31 GMT 1, I've uploaded all these Zeus boards to the site... the photos are my crude attempt to reproduce them in photoshop, since Zeus is making them to order.
www.prescriptionart.com/prescription-art/zeus/cat_46.html
The Banksy is now sold in addition to the ones above...
Reckon the Futura one would be my pick.
Cheers!
